Forbidden Mates Ch. 46

Hunter's P.O.V.

I dropped the letter, I was in shock but then I picked up the letter to see if it was true. My father had an enemy named Alex; who the fuck was he and how did he know my dad. I heard Rose speaking to me but I couldn't hear anything and when I finally could hear, I hear Rose say, "Everything alright?" I couldn't lie to her, no fucking way so I say, "Everything is not good; can you get my phone please?" I didn't hear Rose walk away towards our bedroom so I turn around and she was still standing there so I say, "Please Rose, listen to me!" I didn't mean to yell at her, its just I needed to call my brothers but my legs weren't moving. Rose walks off then and two minutes later she comes back with my phone.

After she hands me my phone I grab her hand in mine and say, "I'm sorry for yelling." She smiles at me and says, "It's fine, now call your brothers." I kiss her quickly before I call Connor when he answers I say, "Call everybody tell them to come here, we got a problem." Before Connor can say anything else I hang up and I place my phone in my pocket. I pull Rose towards me and I kiss her gently. She kisses me back and then I pick her up gently and I take her into the living room. When I sat down on the couch I made sure that Rose was on my lap and she snuggled against me. I smile at that and just as I was about to tell her that I love her somebody knocks on the door.

Rose gets off my lap and I head towards the door and I answer it. The person standing in front of the door is Connor and he says, "What's wrong and why did you need me to call everybody?" I let him in first before I say anything and when he's inside I say, "I got a letter..." Connor face palms himself and then I continue with, "It was addressed to dad." Connor looks at me with shock in his eyes and he says, "What did it say?" I shake my head and say, "I need everybody here first." Connor frowns and he says, "Alright, well can I sit down with you guys?" I nod my head and we both head towards the couch; Rose stands up and as soon as I sit down she sits on my lap. I wrap my arms around her and Connor says, "How are you Rose?" She nods her head and says, "Great."

*Two hours later*

Connor and I were talking and then somebody knocks on the door. Just as I was about to stand up to answer it, Connor gets up and heads to the door. When he opens it I hear a voice say, "We arrived Hunter, now what do you want?" I turn my head to face my brothers and Rose gets off my lap so I can stand up. I face my brothers and I say, "I received a letter that was addressed to dad." I see the looks on my brothers faces and Ash says, "Can we see the letter?" I nod my head and I head over to the kitchen and grab the letter.

I hand Ash the letter and all four of my brothers looked at it. I see all of their faces turn pale so I say, "What's wrong?" They all look up at me and Ash says, "Nothing's wrong?" I sigh a little and say, "You guys know something I don't." Jacob looks at Ash and back at me and he says, "We will help you fight when the time comes, that's all we can do right now." I knew that, that was the best I could get out of them and that they wouldn't say any more than that. Jacob looks at his watch and he says, "I have to leave but I'll come back soon."

I nod my head and Jacob says to me, "Can I hug Rose before I leave?" I nod my head and then Jacob walks up to Rose and he hugs her. After Jacob finished hugging Rose somebody's phone goes off and Dominic pulls his phone out and he goes outside to take his call. Dominic comes back in a few minutes later and he says, "I have to leave too." Dominic walks up to Rose and he hugs her without even asking if he could so I say, "Don't hug my mate without asking me first." Dominic looks at me and he says, "Sorry I just really need to go now." I growl a little and say, "That doesn't give you the right to hug her without asking me first." Dominic puts his hands up in the air and just as I was about to say something else Rose says, "Calm down Hunter." I look at Rose and instantly my anger ceased and then she walks over to me and I wrap an arm around her. Jacob and Dominic head outside to leave and then Ash says, "I need to leave too." Connor was the only one left and I say, "You can leave too if you want."
