Forbidden Mates Ch. 15

 Hunter's P.O.V.

"Yeah sure." I reply.

I back off a bit away from Rose and then I walk out the bathroom. I hear Rose following behind me. I walk out the bedroom, through the hallway and down the stairs. I opened the front door and Rose walked out first. 

We went through the forest and we came across the same spot where I had tried to show Rose my wolf earlier. 

"Remember this spot?" I ask her. 

I look at her as she nods her head. 

"I want you to sit on the rock and wait for me to come back in wolf form." I tell her. 

I watch Rose sit on the rock.

"I won't abandon you, I will come back, I promise." I tell her. 

Rose's P.O.V.

Hunter left to go behind a tree and what came back out was a wolf. I recognized right away that it was Hunter's wolf. I got off the rock and then I got down on my knees. I reached out a hand and his wolf walks over slowly. His head makes contact with my hand and I began to stroke his head. 

He moves forward so I stroke his side. He looks up at me and licks my cheek. I giggle a little and with my free hand, I wiped away the saliva. He backs away and he lifts his head and looks towards the direction of the house. His ears perk up and he takes off behind the tree. 

I stood up and brushed away the dirt off my pants. When I looked back up, Hunter had reappeared from behind the tree. 

"We need to go now." He says.

I made my way quickly towards him. He grabbed my arm and pulled me forward. 

"We need to get back home now." He says.

We began running towards the house and when we got there, Drake was standing in front of the door. When he spots us coming over, he steps off the porch and makes his way towards us. 

His shirt and face were covered in blood. 

"What the hell happened?" Hunter asks.

"A group of rogues. Your father needs you to help." Drake replies. 

"Do me a favor, watch Rose for me. Do not let her out of your sight." Hunter says.

Hunter began to take off and Drake began to drag me inside the house. I broke away from him and I took off after Hunter. 

"Wait!" I cry out.

Hunter stops and comes back to me.

"Stay with Drake." He orders.

I close the gap between us and I wrapped my arms around his waist. He also wraps his arms around me.

"Take care of yourself and come back safely." I tell him.

I felt Hunter kiss the top of my head. "I'll come back, I promise." He says.

He let's go of me and I slowly let go of him as well. He turns around and began to run off again.

"Hunter!" I yell out.

I could tell that he was trying to decide if should stop or not but he did. 

"Go back to the house Rose and please stay there until I come back." He says.

"I love you." I say.

Hunter has a big grin on his face. "I love you too." He says.

Then he takes off again and I turned around to make my way back to the house. I saw Hope over by Drake and she looked upset. When I got over to them, the three of us went inside.

"Let's go into the bathroom to wash the blood off." Hope says. 

Drake looks over at me and points to the couch. 

"Don't leave the house. Just sit down and wait for us." He says.

I walked to the couch and they went towards the bathroom. I sat down and I heard the water turn on and a knocking sound began on the front door. I opened it and two men stood at the entryway. 

"Can I help you?" I ask.

I figured maybe they were friends of Hunter's and that they were extra security. 

"Come with us." One of them says.

"Did Hunter send you guys here?" I ask.

"Just come with." The same guy answers. 

"I should let Drake know." I tell him.

I turned around and then once when my back was fully turned, I felt one of them grab me from behind. 

"I insist you come now." The guy says.
