Forbidden Mates Ch. 45

Rose's P.O.V.

I got up early and for some reason I wasn't on top of Hunter so I didn't need to do anything to wake him. I got out of bed without making any noise and I went over to the closet and I picked out my outfit. I grabbed a 'Disturbed' shirt with black jeans and I grabbed some other things with me and then I went into the bathroom. I took a quick shower and just when I was about to brush my hair after I had already changed into my clothes; I heard some noises. I quickly brush my hair and I opened up the door and I went over to Hunter, thinking that he was the one who made them. I looked at Hunter just as the noises began again so I decided to check outside. I opened up the front door and looked down to see a rock with something underneath it.

I picked up the rock and tossed it on the ground and I went inside with a note. I saw that the note was addressed to Victor so I dropped the note on the floor and ran to where Hunter was. I shook him until he woke up and when he did wake he grabbed me and pulled me on top. I forgot then about why I was in there in the first place and Hunter says after he kisses me, "How did you get out of bed without waking me up?" I laugh at that and say, "For some reason I wasn't sleeping underneath you, I was sleeping beside you." Hunter frowns at that and he says, "How the fuck did that happen?" I shrug my shoulders and he says, "Well, I promise that won't happen again."

I kiss him and then Hunter wraps his arms around me tightly and he says, "I love you." I smile deeply at him and say, "I love you too." I lay my head on Hunter's chest, completely ignoring the fact that he was naked and he says, "Want to eat some breakfast?" Just as I was about to say no because I was too comfortable where I was but then my stomach growls and he says, "I guess you are." I slowly get off of Hunter and he gets off the bed and puts on a pair of jeans and we both walk out of our room. We arrived in the living room and I see Hunter bending down to get something and he turns to look at me and he says, "What is this?"

Hunter's P.O.V.

When Rose and I entered the living room I saw something on the floor so I went over to it and I see that it has my dad's name on it. When I stand up straight, I turn to face Rose and say, "What is this?" She doesn't say anything so I walk up to her and show her the note and I say again, "What is this?" She looks at me as she says, "I have no idea, I found it outside on the steps." I sigh aloud and say, "I'll read it later, right now I need to feed you." I place the letter on the couch and I take Rose's hand in mine and we head to the kitchen. I begin to make Rose some breakfast and I wasn't going to let myself run to that note and find out what was written on it.

I hand Rose her breakfast and she says, "Aren't you going to read the letter?" I shake my head and say, "Right now I need to make sure that you get everything you need first." I look at Rose and I see that she's smiling and she says, "Thanks." I kiss the top of Rose's head and I sit down beside her. After she finishes her food, I wash all of the dishes and after I finished them I turn around to face Rose but she was in the living room. She picks the letter up and she walks back over to me. She hands me the note and she says, "Open it and read it."

I take the letter but for some reason I can't open it so I say, "I'm afraid of what's in it." Usually I wouldn't have admitted to somebody that I was afraid but it's my mate; she deserves to know how I'm feeling. I place the letter on the table and she says, "It's okay to be afraid, you decide when you want to read it, alright?" I wrap my arms around her and I kiss her gently and I say, "What would I do without you?" Rose smiles at me and we head into the living room and onto the couch. Two hours had past and I still didn't touch the letter but then I get up and slowly make my way to it. I pick it up and open it and I pull the letter out and it reads, 'Victor, I hope you're ready for a battle. I will have my revenge.' And then it was signed by a person named Alex.
