Forbidden Mates Ch. 29

Hunter's P.O.V.

After I had raised my voice I began to hear my brothers running. I yelled a bit more and then I heard the door being opened so I knew they were in our room. I took my hands away from Rose and then I turned to face my brothers and say, "You guys got pranked!" Connor glares at me and he says, "Really?" I laughed at that and say, "It was our idea, wasn't it Rose?" I wrap my arm around Rose's waist and she says, "It was mostly Hunter's idea but I went along with it." I frowned at that and she says, "Not that I thought it wasn't funny."

I pulled Rose closer to me and I kissed the top of her head. Jacob walks out of the bedroom and he mutters, "Why the fuck do you have to do that shit in front of me when you know I miss my mate?" I look down at Rose and I see that she's looking at me and Ash says, "Sorry about that Rose; when Jacob's away from his mate for too long he becomes a dick." I squeezed Rose's shoulder gently and I say, "At least he'll be seeing her tonight." Everybody but Rose and I left the room and she says, "When would I get to meet their mates?" I shrug my shoulders and say, "You would have to ask them that." Rose nods her head and then Ash runs into our bedroom and he says, "Jacob left." I cursed aloud and then I say, "Watch Rose for me please." Ash tells me that he'll watch her so I kiss Rose on the lips and then I head outside to locate Jacob. Just when I was about to walk away from the house somebody opens up the door. I turn around to face Connor and he says, "I want to help locate Jacob." I grin at that and say, "Alright, um...let's split up; well cover more ground." Connor and I walk away from each other and I decided to check the forest thinking that Jacob might've went in there. I walked for hours and yet no sign of Jacob and I was beginning to think that maybe he wasn't even in the forest. I decided that I should search somewhere else so I slowly made my way out.

Connor's P.O.V.

After Hunter and I had decided to split up to look for Jacob, I thought that he might've gone to the pack house to cool off. It was hard trying to find it but I saw a guy so I stopped him and asked where it was located. He led me to the pack house and once when we arrived, the guy left. I walked inside and I saw Jacob sitting on the floor so I say, "You need to come back with me." Jacob turns around to face me and he says, "I suppose Hunter is upset at me for exploding in front of him and his mate." I shrug my shoulders and say, "Don't know he didn't look like it or act like it." Jacob stands up, walks over to me and he says, "Alright, let's go then."

I pat Jacob on the back and we leave the pack house heading back to Hunter's place. We arrived at the house and we went inside and I see Ash sitting on the couch so I say, "Is Hunter here yet?" Ash half turns around and he says, "Not yet." I nod my head and just when I was about to speak Jacob says, "Where is Rose at?" Ash and I both look at Jacob with a look that says, 'Are you crazy' and then Jacob says, "I want to apologize to her for my rudeness." Ash and I then look at each other and Ash says, "I don't know if Hunter would appreciate you near his mate when he's not around." Jacob sighs and says, "Come on, I'm not going to hurt her I just want to apologize."

Ash gets off the couch and he says to Jacob, "I'll see if Rose wants to talk to you." Ash begins walking off, I guess to talk to Rose so I sit on the couch and wait for Ash to come back. Three minutes later Ash comes back and he says, "Rose says you can see her." Jacob stands up and makes his way to the bedroom. When I heard the door shut I say to Ash, "Jacob better not hurt her." Ash makes an agreeable noise and he says, "I told Rose though that if Jacob tries anything to scream for help."
