Forbidden Mates Ch. 53

Hunter's P.O.V.

My brother's got their phones and they began to call their packs but of course they had to leave some men behind to protect the women and children. Soon their packs began to show up and we had a lot of men to help battle; I just hoped that not many of the men should die. When all of my brother's packs arrived, I took Rose back to the pack house and when we arrived I pulled her towards me and I whisper, "I will come back to you, I promise." She nods her head and she says, "I'll be waiting." After Rose went into the pack house, I went back to our house and I say to Connor, "Tell the men to get ready for battle, and I need you to pick twenty of those men to stay behind." Connor nods his head and he walks out to do what I asked. I walked towards the door and I say, "Let's get ready to meet the enemy head on."

My brothers followed me out the door and Jacob says, "I think we should tell our packs that were ready to fight." My brothers left to their packs and they come back an hour later and Ash says, "Their ready to fight." We began to head towards the forest and I picked up a scent, I whisper to my brothers, "I've picked up a scent." We got closer to the middle of the forest and I heard nothing; no animals making noises so I knew we were getting closer. I could make out bodies near where we were at and I knew this was where the battle was going to take place. A guy steps forward and he says, "Where is Victor?" I look at the guy and say, "He's dead."

The guy looks shocked and I say, "Who are you?" The guy recovers his shocked state and he says, "My name is Alex and I am his son." Now it was my turn to be shocked and I say, "I am his son." Alex chuckles and he says, "Hello, Dominic." I look at Dominic and say, "How do you know him?" Dominic sighs a little and he says, "Alex is our brother and he's your twin Hunter." I couldn't believe that he's my brother and I say, "Well, how come I never knew this?" Dominic looks down at the ground as he says, "Dad had Alex leave when you were just a baby."

I was shocked, I couldn't believe that dad had done that; I could see why Alex would want revenge. I frown and say to Dominic, "Why did dad have Alex leave?" Somebody clears their throat and I found that it was Alex and he says, "Dad didn't want me, he gave me away." I was shocked and I say, "Why?" Alex points to Dominic and Dominic says, "Dad gave Alex away to one of his friend's because dad wanted you Hunter to be the alpha not Alex." I frown at that and I say, "Well am I supposed to be alpha?" Ash nods his head and he says, "Yes, you are supposed to be alpha, Alex was born a few minutes after you."

I couldn't believe where this was all going; I have a twin brother who I have never known about until now. I looked at my brothers and say, "So what happens now?" Dominic sighs and says, "Well, I guess we can head back home." Just as my brothers were about to walk away somebody clears their throat and the voice says, "What about me? What happens now?" My brothers stop walking and Jacob says, "Well, what do you want to happen?" Alex shrugs his shoulders and he says, "I would like to be a member of the family." My brothers look at me and Jacob says, "It's up to you Hunter."

I look at him weird and Jacob says, "All of us but you knew about Alex so it's up to you if you want to get to know him." I look at Alex and say, "You can come with." I begin to walk off, heading back to my Rose when I hear Alex yell at, "Where you going?" I sigh aloud and say, "I'm going back to my mate." Alex gets in front of me and he says, "You have a mate?" I stop walking and say, "Yes I have a mate."

*Two days later*

When I woke up I felt like I needed to see my father's grave so after I got showered and dressed without waking up Rose I made my way out of the house. I began to make my way to the grave site where many other people have died. I found my dad's grave quite quickly and I got down on my knees in front of the grave. I placed my right hand on top of the stone and I whisper, "I miss you dad." I hear somebody walking towards me so I turn my head and I see Rose walking towards me and she says, "Ready to go home?"
