The two boys were up early the next morning and were soon out the door to get breakfast. Troye took Connor around to a local cafe and they sat down at an outside table.

"God the weather is beautiful here!" Connor said before he chomped into his avocado and eggs.

Troye grinned as he took a sip of orange juice.

"I was thinking we could just spend the day at the beach. The weather is perfect and I don't really feel like walking around."

Connor smiled as he began thinking about himself spending the day at the beach with Troye.

"That sounds fun! As long as I can take my camera."

"I don't want it getting ruined" Troye said, concerned.

"It won't! Besides, it means I can take pictures when you least expect it. You're the perfect subject anyway." Connor replied nervously.

"Connor Franta, are you flirting with me??" Troye smirked as he saw Connor's face turn a shade of deep red.

"I-I....I don't-" he stuttered.

"I'm kidding, you goofball!" Troye laughed, "Come on, let's get going."

The day had been full of fun and games, and Connor was almost certain that Troye had been sending flirty signals the whole time. They had seen some fans at the beach and gladly posed for photos before returning to Troye's house for a swim in the pool.

Connor couldn't help but think that it was a perfect day with a perfect person.

The two boys were sitting on Troye's bed later that night while scrolling through tumblr. A giggle from Troye caused Connor to look up.

"What is it?" He questioned.

Troye only giggled more. "It's nothing. I'm just happy."

"Why?"

"I don't know" Troye smiled as he looked back down.

As if almost on queue, Troye's phone began to ring. He stayed put as he held it to his ear.

"Hello?... Tilly! What's up?... What?... I don't know what you m-... What?... No he hasn't-... What are you talking about?... He hasn't done anything-... Ty wait! Let me talk!... You have to tell me what you're talking about... Ask him? Ask him what?... I'm not sure he-... Ty!...what's going on?!...Ty?...Tyler??"

He lowered the phone and slowly looked up at Connor with fear in his eyes.

"Connor... What is going on?"

Connor's face had already drained in colour.

"What did he say?" He asked hesitantly.

"He said he saw some pictures from the beach on Twitter... He called to tell me not to speak to him until you and I "stop". What is he talking about Con?"

Connor couldn't speak. He wants us to stop? Stop what? Oh my god... Does he think Troye's cheating with me??...

"Connor please. What is this about? Why is he acting like this??"

Connor slowly opened his mouth, but no words came out.

"Con..."

"Troye I-I....I'm sorry."

Troye reached out and placed a hand on Connors knee.

"What's going on? You can tell me."

"He...he's scared. He's scared that I might end up trying something with you."

Troye raised his eyebrows in response. "But that doesn't make any sense... Con?"

A tear rolled down Connor's cheek.

"I'm s-so sorry T-Troye...I should have told you..."

Troye's nerves began to rise.

"I'm gay Troye. Tyler was the first person I told. He c-called me before we left for Perth and warned me not to try anything. That's probably why he got m-mad at y-you too. I...s-should have told you earlier, before I ended up sleeping in your room.... I'm so sorry Tro...I'm so sorry-"

Connor's words were cut off by Troye as he threw his arms around him and squeezed him tight. He realised that Troye was crying too.

"Connor, Do not apologise. I don't care if you like boys. You are the s-same person to me... okay? And I love you no...m-matter what. I don't want you to feel like you have to keep everything to yourself."

Connor let the tears come. He hadn't planned on telling Troye this suddenly, but now he was out...and Troye knew.

I few moments passed before Troye pulled away, showing off his puffy and reddened eyes. His expression had changed from understanding to angry. He looked down at the sheets as he spoke with a low voice.

"Tyler. Tyler's mad because...you're gay?"

Connor looked up at Troye as he continued.

"He has the nerve to get mad at you for that?? He of ALL people should understand what you're going through!!"

"Tro-"

"No Connor! This isn't fair on you! He has NO RIGHT!!"

Troye stood up and grabbed his phone.

"I'll be back in a minute."

With that, he left the room. Connor was left sitting on Troye's bed. This was all so sudden.

Have I ruined their relationship? Am I getting in the way? Connor's thoughts were consuming everything.

Troye was gone for what seemed like forever, and eventually Connor retreated into his own bed. He was so emotionally worn out that he was asleep in only a few minutes. By the time Troye returned, Connor was fast asleep. Troye climbed into bed as quietly as he could, although sleep came to him many hours after.

You dont deserve this Connor...he thought as he finally drifted off.
