Aurora's POV

I found myself lost deeply in Dam's song. It was beautiful, I noticed he had taken inspiration from the story in the bible. I gazed at him in awe, I never noticed how beautiful he looked when he played the piano. It was so graceful.

"It sounds like shit I know..." He muttered. I snapped out of my trance, this boy and his pessimistic thoughts.
"Dan you idiot, that was beautiful."
He shrugged and laid down next to me, fiddling with the sleeve of his jacket, staring at the ceiling.

He sighed. "I just want Highschool to be over, y'know? wanna go out and explore the world"
I nod.
"With your voice, your piano skills and my wicked guitar skills we could tour the whole world."

"Pfft, I wish."

"One day Danny boy, one day our names will be up in lights."

Monday morning. Great, my favourite time of day. If you can't tell, I am being sarcastic. I drag myself off my bed, slowly making my way to the bathroom to get ready. I throw my hair in a messy high ponytail and do my makeup. Nothing fancy, just some concealer and mascara.
I put on my uniform and go next door to Dan's room. I find myself waking him up again, we go through the same routine nearly everyday. It consists of me waking up, getting ready, going over to Dan's, waking him up, him getting ready and then, finally, going to school.

"Morning love" he smiled as he tied his shoes. "It's pretty early, I reckon we could go to Nora's for a bit and score us some of her 'special' feast she has been telling us about since we were 5."

"Is that why you started dating me? For the free food?" I teased and stuck my tongue out at him. "Actually same though. Don't blame you, that feast sounds amazing right now."

He laughed, sticking his hands in his pockets and looked down. "I'll race you there. Three. Two. One. Go."

I stood there confused. "Fuck you Dan, I can't run, this stupid ass uniform restricts me from any type of movement."

I walked at a reasonable pace, observing the street as I passed. Some of the street lamps were still turned on, puddles forming from the rain last night. I snapped out of my thoughts, "hurry up loser." Dan called.

"Oh shut it."

We arrived at Nora's cafe, it was 6:50 so we could stay there for a while.
"Nora!" We called. I intertwined our fingers and played with my rings nervously.

"Hello loves!" She responded, popping out of nowhere. She looked down to us and gasped loudly, filling the silence of the nearly empty cafe. We earned a few confused looks and a few evils.

"Oh my sweet sweet children! You're together oh my god, I'm going to cry!" Nora cried. She enveloped us both in a tight hug. "C'mon you two love birds must be hungry, here's the giant feast I promised you guys a long long time ago. Specially made pancakes, the best hot chocolate in the world and a surprise!"

About 15 minutes late Nora came out with the fluffiest pancakes in the world. I stared at them in amazement, I forgot about Nora's talent in pancake making, over the past years I rarely went here because I was busy with school and rarely eating breakfast. It's not a good habit but thankfully that habit has died down.

"Bon appetite lovelies!" She announced as she came out with the rest of our breakfast.

After breakfast we made our way to school. English went by fast and everything was a blur. The lack of sleep was catching up. I was tired but I didn't mind. My life was going the way I want it to go for once.
