Dan's POV

Aurora's leaving for London tomorrow, and I said that we can make it work, but I'm not sure if we can. Sure London isn't that far, who am I kidding it is far. Very far. I don't even have a car to drive there, nor do I have the money.

So it's 6am. I'm in my bed, watching the orange sunrise with Aurora by my side, sleeping soundly. I play with our fingers and let my mind ponder. I haven't slept or eaten properly this whole week, she's starting to worry and notice it. It's a bad habit but my body isn't cooperating with me.
She's telling me it's fine and says she'll come down every holiday we have.

"Dan" she mumbles in a sleepy tone, "what are you doing?"

"Nothing, just watching the sunrise, also it's 6 so I think you need to start getting ready." I smiled.
She nodded, rubbing her eyes. She leaned over the bed, trying to slither out of the sheets. Failing miserably, she snuggles me, resting her head on my chest, wrapping her arms around me.
"I don't want to go, I'm gonna miss you" she frowned.

I sigh "Rora, you need to go."
She groans and plants her face into my chest.
"Cmon, get up love you need to get ready."

She slides off the bed and gets her clothes, making her way to the window, into her room and into the bathroom. I lay on the bed, both hands running through my hair, covering my eyes. Why does university have to ruin everything? Do I really have to go? I mean it's literally just a whole bunch of broke, hungover kids being forced to go to another school right after they graduate from a Highschool so they don't end up on the streets. But yeah yeah I know, it's for the best. Being a journalist needs English lit so I don't really have an option.

Our parents were stood in front of Aurora's house, hugging her. I came over and hugged her tightly, honestly, I never wanted to let go. After being bestfriends for a whole lifetime you get so used to being together 24/7, so this is a really big thing for me. I rested my chin on her head and stared of into the distance. She pulled away slowly and wiped the tears off of her face and laughed humourlessly.

"Well, I best be going now. Uh, bye I love you guys."

We all say bye in a perfect unison and hugged her one last time.
She got into the car and waved us goodbye, driving off.
