Slipping

Louis' POV~



To say Sarah's big revelation was shocking for the lads and I wasn't, but it was to Liam and Adam, Ryder was just watching everything unfold with amusement. Sarah was looking down at Liam, tears in her eyes as she held his hand. She turned to Ryder"I don't care what you do to more, but just let them go, Liam's going to die if we don't get him help now, please Ryder."



Ryder took out his phone"I can call for help, but you would have to go with me when the cops come."



She nodded"I will, just please call them before its too late." Liam's head was in her lap, she was pressing down on his gunshot wound with one hand while the other was rubbing his forehead"please stay with me, Liam. I don't care what you've done, just don't leave me." She kept whispering to him through her tears.



We heard sirens outside, Ryder pointed the gun at Zayn"you, go get the door and get a paramedic, ONLY a paramedic." Zayn nodded and went out the front door. Ryder looked at Sarah"time for us to go now, sweetheart. Say goodbye to everyone, this will be the last they'll see you....alive." She gulped.



Sarah stared down at Liam who was staring up at her weakly"Sa...Sarah, don't lea...leave me please." He reached up to touch her face, wiping away her tears.



She shook her head"I'm sorry, but I have to." The door opened and in walked two paramedics with a stretcher, they quickly spotted Liam and Sarah, they carefully picked him up and strapped him in. Liam was holding on to Sarah's hand"Liam, you need to go." She took his hand off her and watched as they took him away. She turned to Ryder"let them go first then I'll go, you owe me that much."



Ryder nodded"I do, but I don't really give a damn." He snatched her by the arm and pointed the gun at her head"nobody follow me, I will fucking kill her." He walked to the backyard door and opened in, he pulled her outside.



I didn't care what he said, I followed them out the door to only see Ryder surrounded by police officers, he was still holding the gun to Sarah's head but now, he was trapped.



Ryder smiled"all this for me? Aww, I feel special guys." He waved the gun around"but seriously, move out of my way or else I'll blow her brains out." He threatened, placing the gun back at Sarah's head.



Sarah took deep breaths"Ryder please, I have a son who needs me. Don't kill me because you're mad at the way things turned out, I'll forget about it. Just please, don't kill me. I was your first and you were my first everything, you'll always be special to me, please." She begged.



Ryder turned to her"okay, can I get one last kiss though. Please?" Sarah looked hesitant but agreed. Ryder touched her cheek, he looked into her eyes and leaned in to kiss. We all thought he was going to kiss but instead he placed the gun between and pulled the trigger...he shot Sarah in the chest and when he did, he was shot himself.



I rushed to her before she hit the floor, I pressed down on her gunshot wound"we're gonna take you to the hospital, Sarah. You're going to be okay, you have to be okay for us and your son, you has to be okay for Liam."



A paramedic came"we can't reach other ambulances, were gonna have to take her in her car okay?" I nodded"pick her up gently and I'll hold her head." I gently scooped Sarah in my arms while he held her head as we made our way to the front which was now swarmed with news reporters and camera crews.



We got inside my car and I handed the paramedic my keys, she went to say something but I shook my head at her"she's one of my best friends and my best friend, the man she loves was just shot so I need to be with her right now...she has a two year old son."



She nodded and drove to the hospital"try to talk to her, don't let her think anything negative so she doesn't lose hope, keep her calm. Keep pressure on the wound, don't let air enter it."



I pressed down on it"you know Liam never gave up on the idea of you two getting back together, he always had these scenarios on how you two would reunite." I laughed a little only because Sarah let out a soft giggle"he's bought every magazine you've ever been in, I guess it was his way of staying close to you." She was staring at me, her forehead wet with sweat"he's tried and tried, but he could never seem to get over you." She closed her eyes"he really does love you than I would have ever expected him to. I know he would do anything for you."



"We're almost there, check on her breathing."



I placed my hand over her nose to feel if she was breathing, I waited for that warm air on my hand but it never came. I checked her pulse but I found nothing"she's not breathing." I started to shake her but she was limp in my arms"Sarah? Sarah??!" She didn't respond. I felt the tears well up in my eyes.



She was gone...
