The past behind us,
A new path unfolds,
Stretching, stretching beyond our imagination
And the borders we'd so firmly put up shattering the limits we'd set
And yet,
We cower back,
Afraid to walk,
Speechless,
We can't talk,
But if we'd just take
One step at a time then,
It wouldn't seem so frightening,
And before we knew it we'd be miles and miles
Away
The past behind us still calling
For a moment we may faulter,
But we must keep moving forward and don't stop
Going, going into the future and the unknown places
So that when the end comes we've gone far and can say it was time well spent
