Change

There's been a lot of talk about change so far,

So much that you couldn't fit it in jar.

But that's all it is most times is talk,

How long do we have to motive ourselves before we walk?

I'm just as guilty if not even more so,

How many things was I supposed to do from long ago?

When will I determine and don't turn back?

The puzzle of human behavior is hard to crack,

Habits form quickly and yet die hard,

We go through fire and yet they're only charred.

It's much harder to let go than to hold on,

And much easier to accept defeat than face a new dawn.

Is change as easy as letting a clock tick?

Time can bring change, especially when we're sick,

Yet why do we stay, are we afraid of hurt or pain?

Or terrified of going back to the drawing board again?
