It makes no sense to regret not getting to regret,
because life is already filled with fret,
and to live isn't making bad decisions on purpose,
it's to find beauty in what other call worthless,
it's to explore this existence of ours,
and maybe one day explore Mars.
There's more to regret than choosing cars,
but choosing careers and getting scars,
this world is a mystery and we don't even know how much we don't know
and as we fear we're reaching the end of our rope but we're scared to make that one little
jump. But the future is so uncertain,
it's so far away and yet so close it causes our heart to thump.
Should we die in the the next second, year or decade,
would we go out regretful, or would the memories serenade
us...quietly to sleep in peace.
Stuck in the middle of our pride and our reputation, we always pause and cease.
The shoulda, woulda, coulda's of life constantly hit us in a barrage,
as we see the astounding amount of failures packed in our mind's garage,
and opportunity shows up as a brand new sports car edging us to let go,
It tells us we can be great, but it all depends on what we do though,
you could play it safe as usual but then you'll never know.
