April

April is so far away,

and June can’t come soon enough,

the last page of this first installment written on this body of clay,

is clouded with suspense and handwriting is rough,

leaving bruises and dents, but you say,

"nobody likes steak that’s too tough",

and I at night begin to lay,

the stars on the night sky, taking care to avoid important stuff,

like the moon, your face, homework and how to make my enemies pay,

but I can’t think of those things, and the earth likes to huff and puff,

so twinkling stars fall, and give rise to day,

so clouds, cover the earth’s nakedness with fluff,

and my train of thought departs for the abyss,

the story ends, as it began, with April so far away.
