"Are you really that dumb or did you purposely fail?" you asked Kageyama. The boy scowled as you and the rest of the first-years stared at the humongous red F on the top left of his English exam paper. "Even Hinata got an E!"

Tsukishima snickered at the poor king's result. "O-sama failed again? I can't see how he is going to lead his poor peasants." Yamaguchi laughed at the joke and you had to refrained Kageyama from attacking the blonde. "Oh? O-sama gets angry so fast. Need a hand, King's most trusted advisor?" Tsuki taunted again.

This time, you chuckled a little. "He may be high and mighty but I've been raised with this brat for years," you teased, earning a whack on the head. "Ittai! Don't make me lose any more brain cells and be dumb like you," you whined, and earned another hit.

"Kageyama, you shouldn't hit a girl like that!" Hinata scolded. You cried crocodile tears.

"Yeah, Tobio-Chan! Be more like a gentleman," you piped in. Kageyama's vein popped at the familiar annoying nickname.

"I TOLD YOU TO STOP CALLING ME TOBIO-CHAN!!" he screamed at you. You stuck out your tongue and pulled on your lower eyelid.

"Ah, how typical of the dictator. Bossing the advisor around," Tsuki sneered. Yamaguchi laughed again with a "Nice, Tsuki."

"Can we go back to the topic at hand here? The fact he wrote 'the answer is always volleyball' to every questions in his English paper?" you directed their attention to the test paper. Kageyama scowled at you as the five of you reviewed his paper.

"Geez, even I know the answer to that," Hinata commented once in a while you all came across easy questions. The rest of you except Kageyama nodded in agreement.

When the five of you reached the intersection to your respective houses, Kageyama was already depressed with the constant pointing out of faults. He silently walked beside you as he read through his test paper again. You glanced at him and sighed.

"Hey, Tobio-kun... You know, it's kinda cool at how dedicated you are to volleyball and all but you have to consider the long-term too. What happens if somehow volleyball fails you? What are you gonna do?" you asked, stopping him in his tracks.

Kageyama didn't answer and moved straight on. You grabbed hold of his jacket sleeve. "T-Tobio-kun... P-please think about it... I-I'm not gonna h-help you e-every time y-y-you b-bump into o-obstacles."

Kageyama turned to see tears running down your face. "I-I'm s-so s-scared f-f-for you, y-you know... Y-you d-d-do things w-without thinking... I-I keep p-protecting y-y-you," you sobbed, letting go of his jacket and hung your head low.

Kageyama instinctively wrapped his arm around you without thinking. You cried softly into his shirt as he stroke your hair. "I-I can't always stay by your side-"

"Then stay," Kageyama cut you off firmly. You looked up at him with tearful confusion. Kageyama blushed and lowered his head. "Stay. Stay with me, please. I can't see me without you by my side," he whispered. "I love you. I love you so much," he hugged you tighter.

You blushed and shakily clutch his shirt tighter. "I love you too," you mumbled. Kageyama didn't seem to hear you.

"What's that?" he asked.

"I love you," you mumbled louder but apparently he had hearing problems.

"Huh? I can't hear you."

"I LOVE YOU, YOU VOLLEYBALL IDIOT!!" you screamed.

"OI!! CAN YOU LOWER DOWN YOUR VOLUMES? Geez, kids these days!" an old man shouted, sliding open his door.

"S-sorry!" the both of you bowed in apology. Kageyama awkwardly slipped his hand into yours. You blushed and tightened your hold on his. "Oh by the way..." Kageyama started. You glanced at the boy who was blushing super red. "I-I d-don't h-h-have t-to w-w-worry about m-my fut-t-ture c-cause I-I know y-y-you w-would a-always be b-by my s-side," he stammered. You giggled at his cuteness and planted a kiss on his cheek.

"You're so cheesy, Tobio-kun."
