"He's the most amazing guy, you know..." Daichi said with a lovestruck smile as (F/n) twirled the straw in between his fingers.

"Mmhm..." (F/m) murmured distractedly.

"I mean Suga's so cool. Able to understand me so well..." Daichi continued. I understand  you well too.., (F/n) thought, clutching his cup tighter.

"Yeah..."

"(F/n)... What's wrong?"

(F/n)'s head shot up. "N-nothing, Daichi. Just... distracted," he said sheepishly.

"Ooh~ About this new guy?" Daichi teased with a twinkle in his eyes. (F/n)'s lips twitched.

"Y-Yeah... You got me..." he chuckled nervously. No way am I gonna tell that this 'new guy' is him. He likes -loves- Suga-san...

"Tell me about him again," Daichi said, prodding his guy friend.

"What are you? A girl?" (F/n) nudged him playfully.

"C'mon. It's fair, bro... I tell you about Suga, you tell me about this mystery dude I'm gonna meet soon," Daichi laughed. (F/n) smiled hesitantly.

"W-well, if you insist... He has beautiful brown hair I wanna run through and is very athletic. He's kind and caring and I like his eyes and personality..." (F/n) said bashfully, describing the very love who was right in front of him.

"Sounds like a cool guy..." Daichi commented.

"Yeah...," (F/n) sighed. He stared out to the dark sky. "So how's your progress with -um- Suga?"

Daichi groaned. "Well... I don't think he realized the hints though..." he grumbled.

"Why not you just straight out tell him?" (F/n) suggested, his heart constricting painfully. He lowered his head to stop the tears from flowing and kept the lump in his throat down.

"What if he --"

"He won't."

Daichi gave (F/n) a relieved smile. "Thanks, (F/n). You're a great friend."

(F/n) gave a bitter smile. Friend..., he thought. That's all he would ever be to Daichi. "Be sure to tell me how it goes, yeah?" he punched Daichi's arm lightly.

"Who's the girl now?" the brunette laughed.

"(F/n)!!! I did it!!!" Daichi shouted, running to his friend and pounced on him.

"Did what?" (F/n) turned him in confusion.

"We're official. Suga and I!" Daichi cheered. (F/n) stood frozen. It was official alright.

His heart was broken.

"(F/n)?"

"T-that's g-great!" (F/n) choked before darting away, arm to his mouth to hide his cries. Having his heart broken was like living in Hell.

"The date was amazing... Pity you're sick. It's pretty boring without you around. Suga's been hanging out with me a lot, you know. He's so sweet..." Daichi's voice came through the voice mail. (F/n) didn't want to hear about Daichi and Suga's relationship but he loved the brunette's voice. Strong and confident.

(F/n) stared at the ceiling of his room. He knew sooner or later, he had to go to school. Where all his drama was. And where the couple would be. He cursed and buried his head under his pillow, trying to forget about the guy who broke his heart.

"(F/n)..." his mum peeked in. "You okay?"

"Kinda. I'll be up and running soon, kay?" (F/n) mustered a weak grin. His mum smiled and left him. (F/n)'s smile dropped. As if I'll ever be fine.

Back in school after a heartbreak was something (F/n) didn't want to face. That day, he dodged Daichi, giving excuses to avoid him. Claiming that Daichi needed time to spend with his new boyfriend. Daichi didn't think of anything at first, happy that his best friend was supportive of their relationship.

But, soon, he grew suspicious and decided to find out.

"OI! (F/n)!" he called. (F/n) heard him and pretended that he didn't. He quickened his footsteps. Daichi chased after him. "(F/n)!" he shouted and grabbed his arm. "Dude, you've been avoiding all day like a plague. What's up?"

(F/n) shook his head. "I-It's nothing. Shouldn't you -ah- be with Suga?" he said nervously, trying to pry the brunette's hand off his arm.

"Not until you tell me what is going on. Tell me why are you avoiding me!" Daichi demanded.

"I can't, okay. If I tell you, our friendship will be in ruins. I won't be able to face you anymore..." (F/n)'s voice quivered. He held back tears and shut his eyes.

Daichi softened. "Hey, hey. Just tell me, alright. We'll work this out," he assured.

"Daichi...Daichi... you don't understand --,"

"C'mon... I'm your best friend!"

"Remember the guy I kept talking to you about?"

"Yeah? Don't tell me he broke your heart!"

"The guy's you..." (F/n) said quietly.

"W-What?"

"Daichi... I'm hopelessly and completely in love with you. But I can't destroy your relationship with Suga. He's more important now. I'm sorry," (F/n) sobbed, slipping away from Daichi's now loose hold.

"Wait!"

But (F/n) was already gone and Daichi never saw him again.
