Troye POV

'It's okay, Troye. Calm down. You don't have to rush, you don't have to rush. Better late than never. Calm down, Calm down.'

I reminded myself as the needle over the speedometer kept going up. I tried to calm my nerves and relieve some pressure from over the peddle but instantly felt like the car was moving too slow for my liking.

'Better late than never, Troye. Do not rush!'

I slammed the breaks when I saw a red signal and a car suddenly stopping at it.

Just an inch away from crashing, I was glad that I was able to bring my vehicle to a halt. Wiping away the sweat from my forehead, I thought,

'If you have to see Connor, slow down!'

After another reminder to self accompanied by a long exhausted sigh and the signal turning green, I pushed the peddle once again, this time at a considerable speed and decided I wanted to keep it that way.

It was getting later in the day, with the sky surrounding the neighbourhood slowing going dark and a soft breeze going about rustling the leaves. I rolled the windows down to let the refreshing air in as I drove past the fading sunset and The 1975 playing on the radio, thinking about today morning.

I had just gotten out of the shower, getting dressed to go pick up Connor from the airport when my phone rang. Seeing Emma's name, and thinking she might have the news I waiting for about my music videos, I immediately answered the call only to learn that people from Hp Australia, really liked my idea and wanted to meet up with me right away. Apparently, they were in Perth only for a day and wanted to seal the deal so we could shoot the videos in another week or two.

Out of all the days I was back home in Australia, they had to meet me today, the day I had been waiting for so long, the day Connor was coming to visit me!

As I soon as pulled up in my drive way, I was out the car, inside the house - in a heartbeat.

"Tokkie!" My mum called "How was the meeting?" She asked.

"It was great, where's Con?" I said almost immediately, moving my head around and looking everywhere in the house as an attempt to spot him.

My mom just laughed and shook her head before adding "He's upstairs with the kids"

"Thanks, Mum." I said and kissed her on the cheek before rushing through the stairs.

First, I dashed into Tyde's room and had no luck, then I immediately made my way towards Sage's room. As I entered, I found Tyde sprawled over the bed, going through his phone and Sage sitting at the other edge, playing with her nails, but there were no signs of Connor.

"Hey, Troye! You're back!" Sage said making Tyde look up.

"How'd the meeting go?" Asked Tyde

"Very well, do you know where's Connor?"

"Ya, he went to the bathroom, I guess.." Tyde said looking over at Sage for confirmation.

"No, stupid" she hit him on the head "He's in Troye's room, getting the charger from his bag, remember?"

Tyde replied to her with a hit over the head too and it was clear that it was just the spark before the - maybe possible - boom and I had no time for it, so I just silently left to walk towards my room.

Now living in this house for more than 16years, and I had never felt the way I was feeling right now, before going into my room.

It felt like my heart could literally explode because I could feel the heartbeat at every inch of my body. It was a mixture of pure excitement and nervousness.
