Jo's Point of View
"Well what do you want to know? Ask away." I tell them.
"What are your plans for the future?" Her sister Isabel asks me.
"Well for right now, I'm planning on staying home, and helping my ma'. As of right now, my future isn't the most important thing right now." I can tell my answer doesn't sit well with them.
"And why is that?" Her mom asks.
"Well you see, I have two younger sisters, we have the same mom, but different dad's. I'm the man of the house, you can say, and help my mom with whatever I can, to picking up and dropping off my girls to school, to putting food on their plate. They're my future."
"Do you plan to go to college?"
"Well maybe, it all depends on money, as if right now, college isn't an option for me. But I hope it's a route that'll open the sooner I come closer to it." And with that answer, I know I have somewhat of their approval, to be with Mariah, because I know this girl is the one I want.
And I turn and to see her beautiful smile.
