Tyler's POV
It's the day I have been dreading, my hospital appointment. I told Ash yesterday about it, she's started to feel better, I see the old Ash again.
"Tyler..." She says wandering into my room, I'm sitting on the edge of my bed, nerves kind of getting to me.
"It's okay. I promise" she says holding her pinky finger out, wanting me to intertwine it with hers, and I did.
I stood up wrapping my arm around her small frame, hoping she's right.
We arrive at the doctors, and my palms are sweating. Ashley looks scared too. She stares at me for a while.
"You ready?" She asks me
"As I'll ever be" I sigh and open the car door. She comes around to meet me. I pull her to the side of me and stop walking for a minute.
"Ashley" I say moving her head to look at me
"If it's bad news..."
"No" she says sternly.
"I'm not letting you go, not now not ever do you hear me?" She says loudly looking into my eyes. And somehow I believe her.
I nod, grab her hand and walk fast to the entrance.
They call my name and I look at Ash.
"Do you want me to come in?" She asks shyly
"Of course" I say in reply pulling her up, she turns to me and gives me a quick peck on the lips. I am awaiting my blood test results, the doctor opens the door and smiles at us both. Ashley's hand still firmly locked in mine.
"Right so Mr Blackburn, have you been under a lot of stress recently" she questions looking at me. I feel Ashley's hand fall out of mine, she looks down.
"Um a bit I guess" I say back.
"You blood levels have increased rapidly and I can't say that it's a good sign, because it's not" he says sighing. I draw sharp breaths in.
"So.. What does this mean?" I choked out on the verge of tears. Ashley stays silent.
"It means that I don't know if your going.... To get better" he says quietly. My heart is in my throat, I want to scream. But Ashley does that for me. She stands up.
"Please... Doctor... Please don't take him away from me" she pleads throwing her arms on her head.
"Please all of this its down to me. I'll stay away from him I promise but you need to promise that you will take the best care of him you can" she cries out.
I can't say anything, I'm frozen.
"Of course Miss Benson" he answers her.
"Good, I love you Ty" she says, then she opens the door and she's gone.
"Ashley!" I scream out.
One movement and she's left me in the dark.
