This was an idea I had for a while and I just keep thinking about it. I had planned for it to be a book but I have a lot going on right now. I have like five books that I'm trying to update regularly and then I have three books that I really want to start right now. Can I just skip school and do nothing but update my books? That would honestly be great. Anyways, this may be a three to four part one shot. Without further ado here is I Found You. P.S. I made no attempt to edit this. :)
*****
She was so lost in the woods. It took her forever to escape that prison and she's not going back. It's freezing cold and her bare feet were frozen from the cold snow. Her shoulders weren't covered by the tattered dress she is wearing. The cold air whipping at her face didn't bother her as long as she got away from there.
She saw it. It was a cabin in the frozen woods. It took Regina a matter of seconds to run over to it and knock on the door. The knock was a bit soft because she was still weak from being held captive all of those months. Surprisingly the door swung open and she sees a very handsome man. His blue eyes stared at her with curiosity and confusion.
"What can I do for you?" Robin says and Regina's knees grow weak.
"Can you help me?" Regina whispers out and Robin opens his door wider to welcome her in to his home.
Regina walked into his home and looked around it. The simple decorations of Robin's cabin amazed her. She's never seen any decor when she was locked away. Robin just stares at her from his spot at the door. She was so thin and her black tattered hair fell loosely down her shoulders. She was completely beautiful and enchanting but the sadness in her eyes drew Robin close to her.
"Are you cold? I could set a fire for you." Robin says as he looks at her skin that's red from the cold wind.
"Yes, please." Regina quietly says as she looks down at her bare feet. "What's your name?" Regina says as she looks up at his eyes.
"I'm Robin Locksley. Might I ask who you are and why you're in the woods without a coat or shoes?" Robin asks as he starts throwing wood into the fire place.
"My name is Regina. I don't own a coat and my husband doesn't allow me to wear shoes." Regina says as she sits on the sofa.
"He doesn't allow you too?" Robin asks as he looks at her and she nods. "Where is he now?"
"He is probably still asleep. I slipped a sleeping pill into his food before I escaped." Regina says as she brings up her legs to hug them, in hopes of warming them up.
"Escaped?" Robin says as he gets a blanket for her.
"He's held me hostage for over a year and I lost all of my freedom." Regina says as Robin hands her the blanket.
"If you need any help to get away from him I'll help you." Robin says as he looks at her.
"Oh, thank you for your help but I think I'll just be a burden for you and your wife." Regina says as he starts to stand up.
"I'm not married and you can stay here as long as you want. I just want to help you." Robin says as he places a warm hand on her cold shoulder.
"What do you want from me?" Regina snaps as she slaps his hand away from her.
It's not like she has anything against Robin since they just met. She's always been one to value her personal space but it was always violated by her husband and his friends. She tries to defend herself the best she can but it usual ends up with another bruise on her pale body.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to invade your space." Robin says and Regina stares at him.
He said he was sorry. Regina furrowed her eyebrows at his words. It's been at least two years since anyone has apologized to her let alone a man. She was used to having people treat her poorly and using her. It was different to get an apology from someone and she really appreciated. A few tears poured out her eyes and Robin instantly panics.
"Did I offend you? I'm sorry." Robin says and Regina wraps her arms around his neck.
She hasn't hugged someone in months and it felt good to have someone's warm body pressed against hers. Robin was completely confused. He probably just offended her and then now she's crying his arms. Robin just shakes it off and tightens his grip on the broken woman. Who knows what hell she's been through and the least he can do is hug her. It's just that he wanted to more than hold her. He wanted to love this woman like she's never been loved before.
"I'm sorry." Regina says as she exits the hug. "It's just that no one has every apologized to me before."
"It's alright. I'll be sure to keep that in mind." Robin says with a laugh that Regina's heart flutters once she hears it. "It's getting late and I'm sure you're tired. So, you can sleep in my bed."
Panic fills Regina completely. Her body tenses and her small smile, that she doesn't remember having, fades quickly. She thought he was one of the good guys, which she hasn't seen many of. He just wanted to use her like everyone else wanted to. Robin realizes that she took his words the wrong way and he frowns.
"I didn't mean it like that. I meant you can sleep in my bed while I sleep on the couch. I'll also give you change of clothes so you'll be warmer." Robin says and Regina lets out a breath she was holding.
"Thank you." Regina whispers as she stands up from the couch.
Robin leads Regina to his bedroom and as he looks though his drawers she looks at his pictures. There are several of them with him and a curly haired little boy. She presses her finger against the small picture frame over the little boy. She's always wanted children but like many things in her life it was stolen away from her.
"That's my son." Robin says startling Regina. "He lives with my mother when I'm in the woods. He visits me every week." Robin says and Regina smiles.
"He looks absolutely charming." Regina says and Robin nods.
"Do you need help getting dressed?" Robin asks the frail woman as he hands her some clothes.
"No, thank you. I think I'll be fine. Goodnight, Robin." Regina says and Robin walks out the door.
Before he closed the door she took off her shirt and he saw the bruises on her small back. The image brought him to tears and he couldn't live with himself. Such a beautiful woman was abused and it wouldn't happen again as long as Robin was there. He would make sure that she was safe because he knew right there that he loved her.
After Regina was clothed in Robin's clothes she slipped into his warm bed. She sighed as she sunk into the mattress. It's been forever since she's slept in a mattress and she will savor this moment forever. She buried her head in the pillow and smelt a hint of pine. It smelt divine to Regina and she wanted to smell it forever and she wanted to stay here forever with her handsome savior.
