Lunch Break From Heaven

I'm currently thinking about writing a new book that revolves around the idea around Robin and Regina being teachers who are secretly dating. If I ever decide to do this I have to finish The Music Store first, which I intend to do. If you guys like this pop a little comment down below.

Hair tied up in a messy bun, a half-eaten sandwich on her desk, empty coffee cup right next to it, and pen in hand was how Regina Mills loved to spend her lunch break. She was a high school English teacher and her free time and lunch breaks were spent at her desk as she scribbled away in her current journal. She had to admit that she was a bit grown-up to have a journal but she loved to stash all of her ideas and thoughts of the day between the leather bound cover. She was currently scrawling out a possible idea for a book she was writing when someone knocked on the doorframe of her classroom.

"Knock, knock. May I interrupt your sacred hour?" Robin Locksley, a math teacher, said as he popped his head into her room.

"Of course, Mr.Locksley," Regina told him with a laugh and Robin nodded as he walked in and closed the door behind him.

Robin walked up to Regina and swiftly pulled a small bouquet of flowers from behind his back. As her eyes laid on it she gasped and smiled up at him. Robin leaned in and stole a kiss from her red lips with a smile on his face.

"I missed you, sweetheart. It's been too long since we had a date night or even spent some time together," Robin said before placing another kiss on her lips and leaned against her desk.

"I know. I've just been busy with work, which you know, and I've just been very exhausted lately. I'll just go home and right after dinner I'll just knock right out and fall asleep. I know I haven't been the best girlfriend lately," Regina told him and Robin shook his head as he caressed her cheek softly.

"You've been a terrific girlfriend and I can understand when you're busy. We have a wonderful winter recess coming up in February and I intend to spend some time with you then if you're free of course," Robin told her and Regina laughed before she gave him a nod.

"I'm free for the taking. Actually, I'm free tonight if you want to do something. I know it's just a Wednesday so maybe we could have a little sleepover or something. We could cuddle up on the couch and watch some cheesy television while you give me a nice back massage," Regina told him and Robin chuckled when she said the last part.

"My place or yours?" Robin asked her and Regina hummed as she started to think about it.

She loved it when Robin came over to her place and cooked for her and laughed at her cheesy decorations. Just to be honest she loved going over to Robin's place more. There she would lounge around, usually in his sweatpants, and have him wait on her hand and foot. He would do so willingly and that made her love him even more. His house was also homier than hers and she loved the feeling of his old couch and soft blanket. He couldn't decorate for his life but the man sure knew how to pick out his damn throw blankets.

"Yours. I love being at your place," Regina admitted and Robin's heart warmed knowing that she loved being with him at his home.

"So after work, you'll go home and pack a little bag while I go run to The Muffin Man and get your favorite apple strudel for dessert. When you finally come over we'll order food and while we wait you can have a hot bath to relax." Robin was going to continue with describing their night but Regina pulled him down for a quick kiss.

"Don't tell me the rest because I want to be surprised now. Just the bath is going to turn me into a relaxed pile of goop, Robin. The back massage I'm requesting is just going to put me into a very nice sleep," she told him and Robin hummed as he gave her a smile.

"It's a well-deserved sleep. You work so hard and you rarely treat yourself. I think it's my job to treat you when you don't treat yourself. Don't worry about me though because having you wake up next to me is treat enough."

"If you get any more cheesy a mouse might come and snatch you up," Regina told him with a laugh.

"And since you're never careful a skilled thief might snatch up your diary!" Robin exclaims before he swoops down and snatches the book from her desk.

"Hey!" Regina says surprised when her precious book has been taken from her.

"Is there anything written about me in here?" Robin said as he stood up away from her and starting flipping through the pages. "Aw, just a few days ago you said you missed me."

"I hope you do realize that this is an invasion of my privacy and what you are doing is morally wrong. You'll feel bad about it once you read something very-"

"It says here over and over that you love Robin Andrew Locksley. Is this true?" Robin asks as he closes the book and looks at her.

"Hm, if I write it in that book then it is true Robin. Those are my feelings and even if I can't voice them to you they are true," Regina says after a bit of silence.

Robin flips to a new page in Regina's book and grabs her blue pen. He scribbles something on the page and closes it before he places it back into her soft hands. He gives her a small smile before he places a soft kiss on her lips.

"I'll see you tonight, Regina," Robin says before he heads out the classroom just as the bell rings, signaling the end of Regina's lunch period.

She pushes the rest of her lunch into the trash can and cleans off her desk. She straightens out her skirt before glancing back down at her book. She picks it up and starts flipping through the pages to find a little note in Robin's terrible handwriting that makes her heart stop.

I love you too, Regina.
