It was Regina's favorite time of year and she had decorated the house in tons of Christmas decorations. There were lights strung up outside and a handmade wreath hanging on the front door. She even specifically took today off just to decorate and bake gingerbread cookies. Since Regina and Robin were married this would be their first Christmas in their new house together and Regina had to make this special.
"Regina, I'm home!" Robin yelled as he walked inside their home and shook snow off his coat. "Have you been baking?"
Regina was in the kitchen and she laughed as she wiped her hands on her apron. She walked into the foyer where Robin was taking off his coat and she immediately started to help him.
"How was your day at work baby?" Regina asked once his coat was off.
"Some of the students were confused why their beloved English teacher took the day off. They came to my room during their lunch hours and requested you make the whole class cookies since you took the day off," Robin said which made Regina laugh.
"I already baked sugar cookies for them this month. I think I'll switch it up and make them gingerbread. What do you think?" Regina asked Robin and he just shook his head.
"I don't care as long as you make me some apple pie to share with the math department. I like bragging about my sexy wife who is an incredible baker," Robin said before he kissed her head.
"I will bake your pie this weekend. The other teachers will love it and they'll beg me to bring dessert for the faculty meeting next month," Regina said as she pulled on Robin's hand which caused him to wrap his arms around her tiny waist.
"I'm telling you that you should quit immediately and open up a little bakery or a cafe where you bake exceptional goods," Robin said as he leaned in and kissed her nose. "What did you make today? I'm starving."
"I just made your favorite, lasagna," Regina said as she led Robin into the kitchen. As she crossed the threshold she looked up and smirked. "Oh, there's some mistletoe and I'm sure you know what that means Mr.Locksley."
Robin rolled his eyes playfully as he pulled her close and kissed his wife like he meant it. He hadn't seen her all day and quite frankly missed her at work. He loved that they worked together and would see her every chance he got at the school. They were teased by the students though but when Mrs.Locksley was in a good mood she rarely assigned homework. Robin pulled away and pecked Regina's lips one more time.
"I love you, Mrs.Locksley," Robin said before kissing her again which made Regina laugh softly.
"I love you too. Are you ready for dinner?" Regina asked him and Robin nodded as he walked into the kitchen behind her.
Robin had helped her set the dining room table for dinner and insisted that they drink wine with their meal. Regina's lasagna and red wine was enough to put Robin in a food coma for years so that's why he insisted they have wine. While helping Regina bring dishes into the dining room Robin looked up and smirked when he saw another garland of mistletoe.
"My love, I believe we must kiss again," Robin said and Regina nodded with a smirk on her lips before she leaned in.
This kiss was shorter but still made Regina moan. Robin was a master of kisses and the simplest of pecks could make Regina's limbs feel like jelly and cause her to fall to the ground. She just loved him so much. Robin pulled away and gave Regina a wink before he set down the bottle of wine on the dining room table.
They had a quiet and lovely dinner that had Robin stuffed and a little buzzed. He felt great and Regina laughed as she kissed Robin's cheek and cleared their dishes away. Regina put away the leftovers and put all of the dirty dishes and pans into the dishwasher and started it. She went back into the dining room and found Robin half asleep which made her laugh softly.
"I guess there is no room for dessert in your stomach. Let's go to bed babe," Regina said softly as she took his hand and helped him out of his chair.
"You're a good wife and one hell of a cook, Regina," Robin said as he got up and started walking with her. Once they passed under the mistletoe Robin chuckled before saying, "I think you hung too much of this stuff around the house."
"Oh, shut up and kiss me," Regina told him and Robin complied when he leaned in and kissed Regina's lips.
On the way to their bedroom they passed three more hangings of mistletoe and each time Robin leaned down and kissed his wife who was all too pleased with his attention. They got to their room and each one of them began to go through their nightly routines. Robin was in the bathroom brushing his teeth as Regina hummed and changed into her favorite nightgown. Robin was finished and plopped down onto bed with a hefty sigh.
"Why do you insist on wearing your nightgown to bed? During the course of the night it always ends up on the floor," Robin said which made Regina roll her eyes as she laughed softly.
"You're getting cocky at such a late hour," Regina said before she climbed into bed next to Robin.
"I'm always cocky and you knew that when we tied the knot," Robin said as he got comfortable and laid his head on his pillow.
Regina let out a scoff before she dug through her nightstand table to pull out a piece of mistletoe and held it above her and Robin. "Oh, would you look at that."
Robin took the mistletoe and tossed it over his shoulder before he pulled Regina down on top of him. "You have placed mistletoe all over this damn house just so I could kiss you," Robin said which had Regina laugh softly.
"I do live for you kisses babe. I want them all the time and everywhere," Regina said and Robin hummed as he pulled her down and kissed her.
"This is why I love you, Regina Locksley," he whispered before he kissed Regina one last time.
