Hard Times

Robin and Regina were curled up together in their bed. She curls up next to him to gain his warmth. It's been a stressful day for her and she can't wait to tell him her good news. She was about to tell him but his phone rings.

"Hello?" Robin says once he answers the phone. "Okay, I'll be right over." Robin says as he starts to get up.

"Robin, please don't go." Regina says as she clings to his shirt. "You always leave me for her."

"I don't know who you are talking about. I only have eyes for you. There's an emergency at work." Robin says as he gets off the bed.

"Tell me you love me." Regina says quietly.

"I have to go." Robin says as he walks towards the door.

"Robin, please!" Regina pleads.

"Enough of this! I'm not cheating on you. You are the only one for me." Robin yells at her and a tear falls out her eyes. Robin instantly feels bad and walks over to her.

"I didn't mean to yell at you. You just get me worked up sometimes." He says with a hand on her cheek.

"You're never home anymore and I just want more time with you. I just need to tell you that I'm-"

"You have to tell me later. This is really important and I have to get going." Robin says and places a kiss on her cheek.

"Okay." Regina says quietly. "I love you."

"Okay, see you later." He says before he leaves her alone.

She sits there for a while before she grabs her keys. She hops out of bed and puts on her hoodie and sneakers. She runs down the stairs and into her car. She's done this before and today was the day she was actually going to do something.

She drives down the road to the house of the whore her boyfriend is sleeping with. She knows that he is here, he's always there. She parks her car right next to his truck. She gets out the car and walks up the steps.

She's not actually sure what she's going to do. She's just being driven by an uncontrollable adrenaline fueled rage. She knocks on the door and waits for the whore to answer. The door opens to no one other than Robin himself without his shirt.

"I'm right. You're cheating on me." Regina says with her arms crossed.

"Who's at the door?" A redhead says as she wraps her arms around him and tears fall down Regina's eyes.

"Regina..." Robin starts to say but he's cut off my a scream.

Regina's hands were wrapped around the redhead's neck. Regina fights her way into the house and pins the whore against the wall. The feisty woman throws Regina off of her and swiftly kicks her in the stomach twice. While Regina is down the woman punches her in the face, busting her lip scar open.

"What the hell are you doing Zelena!?" Robin yells as he tries to hold the woman back.

Zelena backs off and stands to the side. Regina lays on the floor clutching her stomach. Robin leans down to comfort Regina but she swats his hand away as she groans. Her face twists in pain before she struggles to stand up.

"Regina are you okay?" Robin says as he reaches out to her.

"I'm pregnant but it's not like you care anyways. I was going to tell you but you left me to fuck the ugly whore." Regina snaps as she starts walking. "Her hair isn't even real." Regina says as she snatches Zelena's wig.

"Regina, where are you going?" Robin asks as he follows her.

"I'm going to the hospital to make sure my baby is okay." Regina says as she walks out the house.

"Our baby?" Robin says hopeful and Regina scoffs.

"My baby! My child deserves a better father than you." She yells as she gets in the car. "I'll make sure you never see them."

"Regina, please. You have to forgive me." Robin pleads through the window.

"I have to do what's in my child's best interest. And at the moment it's getting away from you." Regina says as she starts the car and drives away into a new life with her child.

A knock on the door wakes Regina early in the morning. She yawns as she gets out of bed. She quietly walks down the stairs and towards her door. She quickly fixes her hair before she answers the door.

"Robin?" Regina asks shocked that he's at her door.

"It took me forever to find you. I just want to see our child." Robin pleads with her and she shakes her head.

"Thanks to that woman I wasn't able to have our child. I lost her, Robin and it was all your fault. You didn't care for us and that's what happens when you leave." Regina says as tears fall down her face.

"Regina, I'm so sorry." Robin says as he moves to hug her but she moves away.

"No, just leave. I've made it this far without you and you need to leave." Regina says with a sniffle.

"Regina, I'm sorry." Robin says with tears of his own.

"I'm sorry too." Regina says as she closes the door and leans against it.

"Mommy, who was at the door?" Emma says as she clutches her stuffed animal.

"It was no one honey. Let's get you and Berry back to bed." Regina says with a smile as she picks up her blonde daughter.

Emma resembles her father the most with her blue eyes, blonde hair and dimples. It killed Regina everyday just to look at her beautiful two year old daughter. This is what's best. She needs to protect her daughter at all costs. If Robin broke her heart then he'll break Emma's and Regina couldn't live with herself if that ever happened.

Just a short month later there was another knock on her door. Emma was clinging to her, crying when she hurt her hand playing with blocks. Regina manages to open the door with the tossing toddler in her arms.

"Regina, who's this?" Robin asks once the door is open and Regina is stunned.

"Emma!" The small girl says from her mother's arms.

"It's nice to meet you Emma. Is this your mama?" Robin asks and she nods.

"Mama's pretty!" Emma says as she plays with Regina's hair.

"Yes, mama is very pretty. Can I hold you?" Robin asks and the toddler jumps into his arms.

"What are you doing here Robin?" Regina asks with her arms crossed.

"I know that I betrayed you in the past. I want to be the man that you deserve and a decent father for my daughter. I love you Regina and I need you." Robin says as he holds Emma tightly.

"Robin, I don't know if I can forgive you." Regina says as she stares at his blue eyes.

"I will give you reasons to forgive me. I just want to be here for her." Robin says and Regina smiles as she looks at her daughter in the arms of her father.

"Daddy!" Emma yells in excitement as she claps her fat hands.

"Yes, I'm your daddy and I love you very very much." Robin says and a tear escapes Regina's eye.

"You can stay Robin. I know I won't forgive you immediately but I want this to work out." Regina says and Robin smiles, his dimples showing.

"I love you." Robin says as he places a kiss on her lips, short and sweet with a lot of meaning.

"Ew!" Emma squeals and Robin and Regina laugh together, instantly falling for each other again.

Author's Note: I take requests by the way, just saying. This was another request from its_urqueen for Robin and Regina to break up then get back together. I'm not even sure why I thought to add Emma. Oh well it was cute. Hope you love it!
