It's Complicated

This is a prompt from CrystalGonzalez210. Just saying she is pretty cool for reading all of my books. So, the least I can do is write her a three-shot. Three-shot? That sounds weird but I'm going with it.

Killian, Robin and Regina are the three closest friends. They've known each other forever and they do everything together. As children Robin and Killian were a tight pair until the pretty "Gina" weaseled her way into their tight friendship.

Now, they are all adults and are still pretty close. Only Robin and Regina are closer. To the average eye you would think that they were married but in this small circle of friends they're just friends. Although Robin likes Regina he doesn't want to ruin their friendship. So, he keeps his feelings to himself unaware that she shares those same feelings.

"How's my best friend today?" Killian asks as he opens the door  for her.

"I'm doing fine, Killian." Regina says.

She leans in to give Killian a kiss on the cheek, her signature greeting. Killian sneakily moves his head and Regina kisses him on the lips. Killian smirks as he kisses her.

"What the hell?" Regina asks as she breaks the kiss.

"Come on, love. It was an accident." Killian says as he wraps his arms around her waist.

Let's just make this clear. Killian is a player, a skank, a slut or man whore, whichever you prefer. He sleeps with just about everyone and has never had a stable relationship. Just last week he broke up with his girlfriend Emmy, her actual name was Emma but of course Killian didn't know that.

"I thought we were just friends." Regina says as she stares up at the enticing blue eyes.

"I want to be something more." Killian whispers in her ear.

Killian kissed her again and she cringed. She doesn't feel right kissing him. She wishes it was her best friend, Robin. It was clear that she liked him and she was confused by Killian's sudden actions.

"I'm just your friend." Regina says as she moves out his grasp.

"Maybe we could be friends with benefits?" Killian asks as his hands land on her waist again.

Regina is actually considering his offer. She knows that Killian is smoking hot. At one point in time she even considered dating him. Maybe she should reconsider?

"Just think about it, love." Killian says and she nods her head.

"What do we tell Robin?" Regina asks him carefully and Killian chuckles.

"He doesn't need to know. Just think about it." Killian says as he goes into the living room.

Regina leans against the front door and takes a derp breath. Her hand is laid over her heart as she tries to calm down. Did she just tell Killian that she's interested in being friends with benefits? Yes, she did. Did he ask her to lie to their best friend about their possible relationship? Yes, of course he did. What is she going to do? Who the hell knows?

Regina feels the door opening behind her so she moves out the way. The door opens and she sees Robin. She instantly gives him a smile. Robin smiles back as he gives her a hug that she melts into.
