Can Best Friends Kiss?

"Hurry up! I don't want to be late!" Regina yelled as she dragged Robin through the halls of Storybrooke High.

"It's just pep rally." Robin said as he tried to catch up with his fast friend.

"You know I love pep rally." Regina says as they finally walk outside.

The pair dodge people left and right just to get to the filled up bleachers. Robin manages to find some seats and they sit down to watch it. During the whole pep rally Robin's arm was tightly wrapped around Regina's waist like always.

After pep rally was over Regina and Robin headed to Robin's house. Robin drove there as Regina talked about her day. They finally got to his house and headed straight to the basement.

"What do you want to do?" Regina asks as she plops down on the couch.

"I was thinking a movie and some snacks maybe." Robin says and Regina just nods her head.

"I want some goldfish!" Regina yells as she grabs the remote.

Robin goes upstairs and into the kitchen. He grabs the bag of goldfish and a bottle of water from the refrigerator. Once the refrigerator is closed he glances at a photo. It's of him and Regina on the playground as children. They both had adorable smiles on their faces and were completely covered in mud. Robin chuckles to himself before he heads to the basement.

Robin heads to the stairs but stops suddenly. He sees Regina laying on the couch like always. Her head was propped on the armrest and her legs were outstretched in front of her. Robin knew that Regina was beautiful, he just didn't know that she was hot.

He stares at the outline of her body as she lazily laid on the couch. Her legs were always toned and the leggings she was wearing made it aware. Robin never realized it but Regina had quite the curves and he had the sudden urge to touch and feel them.

"Dude, are you okay?" Regina asks as she waves the remote around.

"Yeah." Is all that Robin says as he walks down the stairs.

"Thanks." Regina says when she gets her snacks.

Robin sits on the couch and like always Regina puts her legs on Robin's lap. Usually Robin would rub her legs but now he doesn't want to touch her. He's afraid that he'll make her uncomfortable.

"What are we watching?" Robin says and his voice cracks a little.

"Silver Lining Playbook. I was in the mood for something romantic." Regina says and Robin laughs.

"You're such a romantic." He says and Regina nods.

"Whatever." Regina says as she starts the movie.

During the movie Regina kept looking up at Robin. She doesn't know why but he's seemed more attractive to her. They've always been best friends and a part of her wanted to be more. She's never been in a relationship and she's never kissed anyone. What if Robin was her boyfriend? Would he want to be?

"I've never been kissed before." Regina blurts out and Robin chuckles.

"Neither have I. I'm waiting for the right girl." Robin says and she smiles.

"What if I'm the right girl?" Regina asks and Robin chokes on his food.

"What? We're best friends. Can best friends kiss?" Robin asks and Regina shrugs her shoulders.

"Can I kiss you?" Regina asks shyly.

"No, I don't want to ruin our friendship." Robin says and Regina frowns.

"But-" Regina starts but is interrupted.

"No buts. I love you as a friend and I don't want to kiss you." Robin says completely lying.

"I don't love you as a friend." Regina whispers and Robin's breaths hitch.

He doesn't love her as a friend either. He loves her more than a friend. He wants to be with her forever. To hug her, kiss her, please her and cherish her.

Robin takes her legs off of him and brings her into his grasp. She sits next to him and stares at him intently, waiting for his next move. He leans his head forward and so does she. Their eyes flutter closed and their lips brush against each other briefly.

"Robin!" Mr.Locksley yells and Regina jumps out of Robin's grasp.

"Yeah, Dad?" Robin says as he gets up and walks towards the stairs.

"Is Regina here?" He yells down the stairs.

"Hi, Mr.Locksley!" Regina yells from the couch.

"Come and eat!" Mr.Locksley yells.

The two teenagers rushed upstairs and sat at the dinner table. They eat their meals in silence and glanced at each other occasionally. Mr.Locksley found it really weird that both of them were quiet.

"What the hell has you two so quiet?" He says and Regina and Robin glance at each other.

"To be honest Mr.Locksley I just told Robin I liked him and he doesn't want to ruin our friendship." Regina says as she stares at her plate.

"Bullshit, Robin has loved you since he was two months old. I knew you two were getting together and if he rejects you then he's stupid." Mr.Locksley says as he hits Robin's shoulder and Regina giggles.

"Isn't there something else you could be doing, Dad?" Robin asks and his father laughs.

"I have to get your mother. So, you can clean up this mess and tell Regina bow you feel." Mr.Locksley ways as he gets up.

"Yes, sir." Robin says as his father walks out the house.

"Really, Gina." Robin says and Regina looks at him sheepishly.

"I can't lie to the Locksleys." She says with a shrug of her shoulders.

"And that's why you'll be doing the dishes." Robin says as he hands her all the plates.

"I always wash the dishes." She says as she walks over to the sink.

"Regina, I love you." Robin blurts out making her drop the dishes in the sink.

"What?" She says as she turns to face him.

"There is nothing to say besides I love you." He says as he walks up to her.

"I love you too." She says and Robin smiles.

He presses their bodies together and leans in slowly. Regina stands there shocked as he kisses her. She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him back. They stand there together, each reveling in the taste of each other's lips.

The kiss is broken and they stay in each other's grasp. Regina lays her head on his shoulder as he holds her close. The smell of apples invades his nose as he plays with her hair.

"I guess best friends can kiss." Regina says and Robin laughs before pulling her into another kiss.

Author's Note: This is just a quick one-shot. It feels like I haven't updates and weeks. I've been a little busy because I just started a new book (which you all should read). Also, does anyone have a one-shot request? I feel like updating this more but I don't have ideas 😂.
