"Those look good" Ashton points to some dining table chairs, they were simple and minimalistic - black of course.
"Oh yeah, those are nice." I comment, walking towards them, feeling the cold fabric.
"How many do we need? Two?" I ask, turning to Ashton, he's sill looking at the chairs, checking them out to make sure they were worth the price.
"Four? Just in case we have guests." He shrugs and I nod, Ashton takes a flyer from the bin next to the chairs and hands it to me.
I place it behind the other four flyers we'd gotten from furniture. Ashton walks back to our cart, pushing it easily.
"Done for the day?" He asks, turning to me.
We'd gotten some kitchen essentials, decorations, lamps, pillows, a side table and all the furniture flyers in my hand. I think we were good for the day.
"Yeah, let's go check out and see if they can do same day shipping." I nod to him, to which he responds with a chuckle, his head nodding at me.

"Babe, be careful." Ashton warns me as I try to maneuver into the house with arms full, our Trent purchases blocking my vision.
"I got it." I mutter tiredly, kicking my foot ahead of me to see where a few boxes were, I wasn't trying to fall.
I quickly place the heavy load onto the floor, my knee cracking in the process.
"Oh geez." I sigh, huffing as I turn to Ashton who puts his load down too, more swiftly than I did.
I walk towards the kitchen, grabbing a water bottle from our empty fridge. We'd have to go buy groceries soon.
"So the delivery men are coming in two hours right?" Ashton asks as he walks into the kitchen.
I nod, still chugging my water. "Yeah, why?" I ask.
"So we can order food or something, m'starving." Ashton says, taking a seat on the granite counter.
"Yeah, I can order right now if you want." I say, digging my phone out from my pocket.
Ashton nods and jumps off the counter, I follow him, knowing what he's been dying to do since we got here.
He walks into the 'dining room' and unhitches the latching that holds the black, wooden table in. With ease he brings it down, the table is bigger and thicker than I'd imagined. It's beautiful though, it brings the entire room together.
"Damn, that's nice." Ashton says and I nod, rubbing the top of it, it was so different than we'd ever have and it was already my favorite thing in the house.
I've been saying that a lot for a lot of things in this house, fuck if it wasn't a good buy I don't know what was.
"You know what would look so good right here, the fake green plants that are in little shapes of trees!" I say excitedly, I'd saw them earlier at IKEA but figured I wouldn't know where to put them.
Ashton chuckles, wrapping his arms around my neck to pull me into his chest. "Order some food, you dope." He jokes and I roll my eyes laughing, slapping his chest lightly.

"I'm exhausted." Ashton says through a sigh, his sweaty body laying tiredly on the hardwood floor.
I yawn, looking around the messy house, packed and unpacked boxes littered the floor, bubble wrap and trash following suit. It was an ugly sight but I don't think we can continue today, we were too tired.
"Let me just set a reminder." I kindle to myself, pulling out my phone, I feel like we have so much stuff to do still, and, we do.
"Why do you need a reminder?" Ashton asks, turning his head towards me.
"So I know what we have to do tomorrow." I speak to him, typing the tasks into my phone.
"Can you read 'em out loud?" Ashton asks and I nod.
"Build the two side tables, build the table chairs, finish building the bed frame, buy bedsheets and curtains for the windows, buy a rug, buy groceries, toiletries and that's all I got so far." I say with a sigh, turning to him.
Ashton rubs his face tiredly, groaning into his palms. "So much work."
I nod although he isn't looking at me. It was a lot of work, this whole 'first home buyer' thing, it's tough.
"Oh, and we have to pick up Maxie from Calum's house." I remember, typing it into my phone quickly.
Ashton chuckles, "You miss her already, don't you?" He asks and I nod, a sheepish smile on my face. I loved that dog.
"Of course."

Next chapter, I'm just going to speed up to about two days after this - I'm sure you guys don't care about them fixing up their place lol so next chapter will be a different scenario. :)-
