Eclair's POV

To say that I was dumbfounded was an understatement.

I was flabbergasted for Pete's sake!

"You stupid pervert!"

My familiar chuckled.

"I apologize for not telling you ahead lady Éclair. I thought you already knew the terms about the relationship of a familiar and it's master."

"I'm going to kill you, right now!"

Before I took a step, he handed me a double sided weapon.

"It would be a great privilege if you're the one who shall end my life. After all, It is only for you."

It was my turn to be taken aback. I have to get a hold of myself.

"Huh. If you wish to die so much, then why are you still alive now?"

"I am alive because of you my lady and mistress. But I do not wish to die now, I cannot die yet. I have something else that I must do."

Moron.

"Then do it now. Stop procrastinating and don't take time for granted."

"What words of wisdom from Lady Éclair. I appreciate it thank you so much. Although you need not to waste your words on me."

I can't tell if he's praising or insulting me by what he said but I'm sure that he evaded the subject on purpose.

"Fine. Suit yourself."

I'm tired of his loyalty act.

I am so infuriated, but I didn't let my emotions take over and I tried to understand the situation.

"You really are serious about all of this."

He knelt his left knee on the ground.

"Of course lady Éclair. How can I not be serious? I am here for nothing else except you."

He's rather difficult to deal with.

"You know, even if I look weak, I can protect myself. Why did you choose this job? I am certain that you are capable of other things."

Protecting a cursed person can be quite a handful.

"This is the path I chose lady Éclair. The moment I sealed the contract, I swore to never betray you and serve you everyday of my life, as long as I live."

But, It's too dangerous to be with a person like me.

"Huh. You really are an idiot."

I walked to the exit.

"If you say I am, lady Éclair, then I am an idiot." He said.

What am I going to do with him?
No idiot would risk his life to save a cursed person right?

Maybe I shouldn't have said that to him.

He's wasting his time for someone as filthy as me.

I turned around to face him before entering my room. Goodness! He even followed me here.

"Do you have a phone?"
I asked not sparing him a glance.

Perhaps he wasn't expecting that because it took awhile for him to register what I said.

"Yes lady Éclair."
He answered.

"Hand it over."

We took our phone from our pocket and exchanged numbers.

"Have a good night lady Éclair. Thank you for accepting me as your familiar"

I didn't answer him and shut the door once I got inside my room.

What's with that creepy smile on his face ? -_-

Sure he's good looking and all, but,  why does he keep on smiling like he's so darn happy about this when it's obvious that he's not?

-

Morning came.

I opened the door after I decided to have breakfast three hours after I woke up.

"Blast it!"

I sighed.
Why am I still surprised?

"Good Morning lady Éclair. How was your sleep?"

He was outside of the door waiting like a dog! Like a bloody dog!

"Fine."

It was okay. I didn't feel disturbed at all thank you for asking.

"I'm glad to know that, lady Éclair. Will you allow me to escort you to the dining hall?"

"Fine."

Thanks for accompanying me, you didn't have to do that.

I wanted to say a lot but only one word came out. I didn't even say my greetings.

Where the bloody hell  are my manners? -_-

-

We continued walking.

"Clair!"

I was again  surprised when a huge body hugged me tight from the back.

"I see you met your familiar already."

Thank goodness he already let go.

I turned to face the familiar voice... I'm sure I heard this voice befo-
