"In every parting, there is an image of death."

-George Eliot

Eadred's P.O.V

"So you're saying that she's not your girlfriend?"

I asked Raven as I flipped the page of the magazine I was reading.

"Yes big bro." He answered.

"Hmmm... Ohoho she was really beautiful."
Blanche joined the conversation.

We are currently at the garden having tea time, Blanche who invited me.

Vic isn't here. Its a shame because that lady could easily think of something to lighten up the mood.

"Why'd you kiss her on the cheeks man?"

"You said you already rejected her when she confessed right?"
Maud butted in. I almost forgot she was here.

"Yes. But she said that she would give up on me if I kiss her."

"Woah. Lucky you she had a body to die for. Why'd you turn her down?"
That chick was actually gorgeous, is something wrong with this guys head?

"And you kissed her?! Is that even normal?!"

Maud seemed exasperated, is she jealous or something?

"Of course it is! Any man would do the same thing. We would do the same thing if we were in his shoes! Right Tris?"

I glanced at Tristan who was beside me just awhile ago, only to find that I'm actually talking to no one since he left.

"Where'd that dude go?" Blanche smirked at me.

"Ohohoho he went to his room to sleep"

Tch. Why am I still surprised?

That's what he always do.

"I'm going to my room." Clair stood up with her usual granite face. Wuuuwuu she's hurting! My daughter is hurting!

"Wait, Clair you still haven't touch your tea"

"Please...leave her be young Lord"
-Maud

Obviously, she's not happy with what she witnessed. I feel bad for forcing her to take a look at the scene. Is it my fault?

I couldn't blame her though. Even I was surprised that Raven could do that.

Her familiar followed her inside.
Finally. Something interesting happened.

Éclair's P.O.V

"Lady Éclair please wait."

As expected he followed me.

Thank goodness I was fast enough to get in front of my room immediately.

I didn't want to talk to him yet. Not now.

"I'm sorry lady Éclair"

"So you know what you did was wrong"

He... Could also do something...

without real feelings.

"I am sorry lady Éclair. I thought if I do that, it would please her and-"

"No"
As if it would change anything.

As if his words could change what he did.

"You're wrong."

He wasn't different after all.

I thought he's not the same as the people who were around me back then.

"I am really sorry my mistress"

But,I was wrong.

"You... I never thought you're such a filthy person!"
Oh no. That was too much. I said too much.
"You are right lady Éclair. I was never worthy to be your servant. I apologize for the trouble I caused you."

Why am i angry in the first place?
"Huh.So this is it"

"If that is what you wish lady Éclair."

I can't...

"Very well."

...bring myself to look at him in the eyes.

"Thank you for everything you've done up until now"

With that, I walked passed him and entered my room.

That's right. I'm the worst. I was never made to be with anyone.

From the moment I was born,

I was destined to be by myself.

No one...

Would ever choose...

to stay by my side.

But I still can't believe,

My heart could hurt so much, it feels like it's shattered into pieces.
