Éclair's P.O.V

"Good morning my mistress." My familiar lowered his head as he greeted me.

"M-morning." I'm glad you're safe.

He took my hand and kneeled.

"I am so glad you're safe my mistress. I apologize for not being by your side to protect you. I am so useless. I really am not worthy to be your servant."

There he goes again.

"That's enough. Stand up"

"You shouldn't let this go my mistress, you were abducted because I am useless and incapable of protecting you. Please punish me."

"A-are you...alright?" I asked abruptly.

He looked surprised.

"Yes lady Éclair. I am alright, now that you're safe. But you shouldn't worry about me. I am not worthy. In fact, I should receive death as punishment."

He's really an idiot, taking his life for granted.

"Huh! You're really persistent. Very well, I'm starving. I want you to make me a good breakfast."

I didn't eat breakfast in my room today because I was hoping that...

I'm being delusional.

"But that's an honor lady Éclair. It's not a punishment."

He says so but he look extremely happy. But at the same time, ...

I can't decipher.

"Huh. Shut up. If I say it's a punishment then it's a punishment."

He stood up and smiled brightly.

"As you wish, my mistress."

Ow. My heart has suddenly beaten so fast, it hurt.

"Is something wrong my mistress? Does your body hurt? Do you need a massage?"

M-massage?!

"No. Let's go."

What the heck was he thinking?!

We went to the dining hall and I sat to one of the tables.

"Today's breakfast would be Courgette soup with lemon paired with two pieces of granary bread and Seviche."

He poured me a cup of black tea and I started eating.

He just watched me.

Intently.

So intent, I feel like I was going to melt.

"Yow Raven! Glad you came back safe.".

"Good morning big bro."

Ead looked really happy to be called by Raven like that.

"Huh. You look extremely happy."

"Of course I am. When did I ever look gloomy?"

"Last night, when Vic said you suck."

He gave me that
'how dare you make me remember that' look and slowly stood up.

"You're so cruel princess. I was so worried when you got missing. I was the one who planned your escape. And this is what you do?"

He was wiping his tears.

"I- okay okay I'm sorry!"

"That's alright!" He smiled widely.

That was fast! -_-

" Enjoy your breakfast! I will just take a walk outside. See ya!"
With that he exited the dining area.

He was faking it wasn't he?

What did he even come here for?!

I just continued my breakfast.

"A-are you not going to eat?" I asked my familiar who is currently wagging his tail.

"No, lady Éclair. I shouldn't ea-"

"Good morning lady Éclair!!" Maud greeted me cheerfully.

"Huh. You look cheerful. Good morning."

He looked at Raven. I thought she was going to greet him too but I doubt that because she doesn't look like she want to.

"Someone's looking for you outside."
Maud said in a serious tone.

"Who might it be Ms. Asquith?"

He asked

"Why are you asking me?!
I don't know her."
