"You don't have to say everything to be a light. Sometimes a fire built on a hill will bring interested people to your campfire."

―Shannon L. Alder

Eclair's P.O.V

"What are you doing here? Eadred Pierce."

He looked at my familiar and nodded at him. He  averted his eyes right  back to me.

"I live here. Was that answer enough princess?"

"Huh. So you carry a curse too." I asked.

I have known Ead since we were in middle school, we went to the same institution. He's also a friend of someone I met in the past. He has red eyes and smooth white skin. He also has a tall body, a bit taller than my familiar but we are just in the same age.

"Well, I wouldn't call my Invention and technopathy Chester, a curse. It has contributed a lot in the technology we have today. But, if you are referring to our Chester, yes Clair, I do have a curse."

There goes his blabbering mouth.

" What's a Chester?" I asked.

"Seriously princess? I even thought you were the most brilliant blue blood I know.  But, you didn't even know what to call your scary ability."

"I apologize for being dim, Lord Eadred, if you please, enlighten me so I would know."

Genius -_-

''Haha, stop that, you pretty blue blood! Being all respectful and nice to me doesn't suit you at all.''

I stared at him coldly.

"The government, the nobles and the aristocrats who are aware of our extraordinary abilities call the thing you call curse, as Chester. It was named after the first royal blood who discovered his out of this world ability."

Oh.. must have missed that part.

"Huh! Of course I know that. I just pretended I didn't."

That was an obvious lie wasn't it? -_-

That's why this place is called Chichester Mansion, or Chest as it's best known.

He pinched my nose and patted my head.

"Go eat your breaklunch princess."

Breaklunch is perhaps a combination of breakfast and lunch since I went out of the room exactly three hours after I woke up. That is, 11 am in the morning.

He let go of me. I immediately entered the dining hall. An obnoxious greeting stopped my tracks.

"Your honour. I am Raven, lady Éclair's familiar. Pleasure to meet you."

He lowered his head and bowed. Is he really this polite?! -_-

A hint of amusement was seen in Eadred's face.

He chuckled.

"You can cut the formality dude, I'm like Clair's big brother. You can call me big bro."

What did he just say?

"Certainly, as you wish."
