"Someone who smiles in front of you can frown so much at your back"

-Michael Johnson

Eclair's P.O.V

As I was growing mushrooms inside an enormous metallic cage, cheers and songs of victor covered the chichester mansion. All of the residents sang in unison the song I couldn’t care less who composed since I don’t know much of its genre. All I know is that it is festive and the people around me are traitors.

They’re bonds showed how a month of day off, unlimited cakes and chocolates plus a vacation to the Caribbean could turn good to evil, angels into monsters and enemies to allies.

That’s right.

ALLIES.

These people around me, my trusted co-residents hid the truth from me and my familiar. They TEAMED UP. Teamed up to bring us both down. They caged me inside a shield like metallic cage which suppresses my Chester they also did not fail to make great efforts to suffocate my familiar to his last breathe.

‘’Err…Sorry Lady Eclair. We didn’t mean to hurt your feelings, truly, we are.’’ Vic held the metallic bars that’s preventing me from being near them.

The living room was then, immediately like almost impossible, flooded by Ead’s tears.
‘’Wuuu..wuuu sorry Clair they forced me! They all forced me I never meant to hurt you!I'm always on your side. Always!'’  Ead said in his best actor tone as good as he can while wiping his fake tears with a handkerchief.

‘’Huh. Double-crossers.’’ I glared at the dark side of the bars. They all flinched when they heard me say the word.

Vic, affected by her so little conscience was about to get me out of the cage but in one swoop all of them were brought inside and my feet touched freedom. The festive music stopped and a sound of despair enveloped the mansion as an amused housemaid chose the right keys on the piano.

I tapped his shoulder and gave him a quick approval.

‘’Huh. You were late a second.’’ I said with a half-smile, doing my best to hide the sense of victory creeping from my spine.

‘’Apologies my mistress. I had to make sure they wouldn’t notice.’’
Yeah. They didn’t.

We looked at them, their facial expressions were all screaming anger yet it also held a glimpse of defeat and uncertainty. These expressions slowly turned to confusion.

After a few agonizing moments of painstakingly awkward atmosphere the ‘staring at one another’ plus ‘ exchanging worthless glances’ and ‘unnecessary movements’, they individually gloom in emptiness as their knees were on the ground. Except for Blanche who’s enjoying her wine watching everything as the sole audience. She wasn’t on the game so Raven must have excluded her to his schemes

Or should I say our scheme.

I gave Blanche a nod to thank her for not saying anything since she could read minds. Raven as overly respectful as he is, bowed to her.

‘’Blanche! Blast you!’’ cried Maud, who’s the faithful familiar of the chosen criminal.

‘’Blanche you knew! You knew all along you weirdo damn you! We trusted… trusted you.’’ Tristan cried while the others were just glaring at me, Raven, Blanche and the amused housemaid.

‘’HOW?! How did this happen I made sure you were a dead meat!’’ Vic shouted. She lost it when she realized the chance of a monthly day-off slipped through her hands. She gritted her teeth to Raven as if he’s all to blame.

Blanche only smirked and that fueled Vic’s anger more. I’m sure Blanche isn’t drunk because her signature laugh hasn’t been heard.

’Ms. Vanderbilt, I’m glad you asked. Shall I answer her my mistress?’’ Raven asked with a cunning smile.

‘’huh. Do as you please.’’
I chuckled mentally.

‘’My amazing lady and mistress is able to control her chester now.’’

Thunder seemed to have penetrated the mansion. They were all stoned as cold ice to where they were at the moment. After that unexpected realization hit them, they all gave up and cried for their lost wishes.

‘’It was almost in my grasp!’’

‘’Oh my daily chocolates wuuuu wuuu Ryuu. Clair-chan. Clair- chan is a meeeeaaaanniee! I hate her! Get rid…get rid of her.’’-Little Prince Shou

‘’’’-Ryuu

I didn’t expect Raven to be this pissed. I narrowed my eyes at him.

He attempted a snicker but stopped immediately when he saw me looking at him while Blanche was not able to suppress her signature laugh as she took an exit, probably heading to her room.

"Ohohohohoho hic idiots ohohoho kids hic ohoho hic maniacs."
