"There is nothing impossible to him who will try."

-Alexander the great

Éclair's POV

"The next item is a 230 karat diamond."
According to the information given to us, the diamond was originally owned by the late King Henry VIII of the British empire.

"100 million euros!" However, royalties from China, India, Saudi Arabia and some other European countries have been waiting for the moment they can own the diamond for themselves.

"150 million euros!"

Now, it is not the diamond that we are after, its the person who wants it.

"200 million euros! Going once!"
The master of ceremonies just had a brilliant idea. He shot the diamond with a revolver showing its unscathed authentic appearance.

"250 million euros! Going once! Going twice!" For the last call I waited for a missile to hit the diamond but nothing came. Probably because it would destroy all who are present here. They are all too important so a missile is damned.

Al raised his right hand as I motion to whisper something to the host. His compact disc like wide eyes caught the attention of delegates inside the auction hall.

"300 million Kuwaiti Dinar! Going once! Going twice!"

Everyone shot startling glances and small murmurs I can hardly hear.

"SOLD!" Ah- I don't know where we'll get that much money but Al won the bid and we have to pay the price.

We took off bringing the hardest naturally occurring mineral, topping Mohs' Scale of Hardness with a relative hardness value of 10, with us.

Before we could go down the palace via the elevator, we were blocked by huge men wearing black tailored suits.

"Out of the way." It was more like a threat than an order. Al did not waste time to ask why they were preventing us from leaving.

"Behold Prince Bhadj Sabhad Merdsghob Heju of Poirsuegoie!"

We bowed our heads when the prince we want to bring with us to Dersenia, came out hiding behind his cronies.

"Your Majesty." Al and I said in unison.

"Give me the diamond. I want it." We want you too your majesty, the jail is waiting for your arrival.

"I also want the diamond your highness. However, if your majesty wish to have it, I will gladly give it to you."

Al handed the briefcase to the prince whom I pity because of his name. How was he able to write that very short and simple name on his paper is a mystery to me. Perhaps he had servants to do it for him?

"On one condition."

"What is it? Euros? Palatio?"
The prince asked not sure of what my partner will ask from him.

"Huh! Your freedom!" I shouted. They're heads shot at me as they sent me a quizzical look. My partner on the other hand, was not a bit pleased with my little
utterance.

"Ha-ha-ha-ha" Al let out a forced laugh to cover for my lack of common sense. Gladly, it was contagious enough to affect the men in front of us, including the prince.

"Why don't we continue this somewhere private your majesty?" My partner offered beaming a smile so innocent you wouldn't think he's planning to strangle the person in front of him.
