'' There is always an easy solution to every problem - neat, plausible, and wrong.''

-H.L. Mencken

Eadred's P.O.V.

"She walked home alone. On her way to the mansion, she saw an old woman and she helped her get to a van."
I hissed.

Raven's eyes are slowly activating again.

"Anything else, Vic?" -Maud

"She dropped this handkerchief after carrying the bag of the old woman. That's all I got."

Vic's Chester allows her to see or read the history of an object or person she touches. It's known as psychometry.

"She was abducted." I concluded.

"Thank you for that information Ms. Vanderbilt."

He said so smiling and lowering his head. He walked to the exit.

"Raven, let's wait for Tristan's vision." I suggested.

"I can't sit still and do nothing young lord. I will search for her."

"How will you do that? Your Chester only allows you to protect or kill."
Maud snapped. I gave her a warning look.

"I understand your concern Ms. Asquith. Thank you very much."

After that, he disappeared.

So, he can teleport at short distances. Might be a skill he learned after some tough training.

"He's quite impressive."
Vic commended him.

Vic's got a point. I myself was impressed.

"His skills are nothing but trash if he fails to protect his master." -Maud

"That was a harsh comment back there Maud. I'm sure he's bloodlust just increased."

"Whatever. He failed to secure his master's safety. This has never happened before.''

''Yeah, but control your rage.''

''Yeah, I'll try to wake Tristan."

"Good luck with that." I said proceeding to the mini bar counter to grab something to drink.

"Hey! You fruitcakes. What's the commotion all about?"
We faced Blanche who looks wasted.

"The Lascelles heiress was abducted." Vic informed her.

"Oh. I know that. I can read minds remember? Ohohoho fruitcakes."

"Then why did you ask?"

"I asked about the commotion. You act like ordinary people having no extraordinary abilities."

"Excuse me?"
Vic was the one who snapped this time. I just gave her the 'keep it cool' look.

She calmed down a bit. She forgot Blanche is drunk.

"Ohohoho green haired fruitcake."

"You're dru-"

"Blanche. Go back to your room, you look wasted."

Maud's always so straightforward.

"Oh hello eye patch fruitcake! I knew you'd come down here."

She's definitely drunk. We all call Tristan by Tris.

Wait a second! How the heck did Maud manage to wake Tristan up?...

There's no way she could!

Unless...he wasn't sleeping yet.

"Lady Éclair is safe..."

I gave out a sigh of relief.

"...for now."  Oh. Just for now...

"Where is she Tris?"
I asked.

"Currently locked in one of the cellars at Zen Mountain."

Oh my poor daughter.

" Why on earth would she be at a very dangerous mountain?!"
Tss. I lost my cool.

"Someone get me the telephone." A housemaid handed him a phone then left immediately.

He dialed.

"Good evening Mr. President."

Right. We forgot our connections.

"This is lord Montcroix's familiar, I'd like to ask a you a favor."

"Yes." he was nodding his head, simultaneously.

"Yes. Of course, certainly sir."

"I'd like to have a list of all black organizations targeting our kind, may it be from the underground industry or just ordinary huge companies."

"That'd be a great help Sir. Thank you very much."

He ended the call.

"So what'd he say Tris?"

"The list will be send through e-mail in five minutes. We'll wait for it."

-

"Griefvard Mafia?" Maud asked in distaste.

"Never heard of them."

"They're the only black organization targeting us which is located at Zen mountain."

I sighed.

''Will you be coming with us Lord Pierce?'' Maud asked in her usual monotone voice.

I smiled.

"ugh... I hate violence.''

''Then you should stay here sir.''

''But.. my daughter's life is on the line so...I'll inform Raven and we'll go there together."

"Idiot. You stay here and protect Blanche."

"Wai-"

I was about to protest when the door opened up revealing two men craving for fun.

"Sounds fun! We're coming too!"
