Song: That's What You Get By Paramore

Angel.

"Please?" Alex pleaded, he looked at me with puppy eyes and I swear I could have melted right then and there. For the past three periods, Alex has been beginning me to come watch his band, All Time Low, practice. He said they needed a crowd because they were getting tired of it just being Mrs. Barakat.

Sighing, I bit my bottom lip as I though of something to use as an excuse to not go to their band practice. I mean, the idea of seeing their band preform does sound appealing but I don't want to be anywhere near Alex. I've said this a thousand times before but it seems as if the world doesn't want me to do that.

"Fine." I mumbled, giving in. Alex cheered, he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a tight hug. My eyes widened and I stood there in shock. It felt weird having Alex hug me but.. I liked the feeling of having his body pressed against mine. It felt nice and honestly, I didn't want to let go anytime soon.

Of course, Alex pulled away from our long hug. I thought I saw his cheeks turn a slight pinkish color but I could have been wrong.

Alex looked down at me and smiled sweetly, "Can I have your number?" He asked, hope filled his brown eyes.

Reluctantly, I pulled out my crappy flip phone and handed it to Alex. Thankfully, classes had ended ten minutes ago so this little conversation we're having isn't going to cause us to be late to any classes. After Alex put his number into my cellphone, he handed me my phone back and did something unexpected.

He kissed me.. on my cheek.

Too shocked to say anything, I waved quietly as I watched Alex quickly walk away. My cheeks were burning red and it felt as if my face was on fire. The peck was quick but I could still feel Alex's lips on my cheek.

Why did he do that?

It was probably nothing more than a friendly gesture. I doubt Alex has any feelings for me. From what I've seen, he has girls practically worshiping the ground he walks on. Pretty girls... Girls who could probably make Alex happy and give him whatever he wants.

Yeah, he'd never go for someone as pathetic as me.

As I said before, no one likes a broken girl.

My fingers gently brushed over where Alex had just kissed me. I couldn't help but smile at the feeling of his lips pressing against my skin. Even if the small kiss only lasted a couple of seconds, I'll remember it for as long as I can.

I placed my books back inside my locker before walking down the empty hallways. Most of the students have already gone home but there's usually still quit a bit of people here due to clubs, sports, detention, etc.

Once I was off school grounds, I checked the time and sighed quietly. It's already ten till four and I can tell mum is probably worried about me. Although she hardly ever talks to me, she often asks me where I've been when I don't get home before four. It a thing she's began doing after Oscar's death.

Speaking of Oscar's death, in a week... it'll be three years since his death. Of course, I'm going to take the day off because I don't want to go to school on that day. I don't have to ask my mum because I know she understands. She doesn't really care whether I go to school or not. She doesn't care about anything anymore.
