Geoff and I got in the car and drove to work, with me coughing the whole way.
I sat at my desk and began to edit the Rage Quit- Michael was working on some Things To Do stuff.
I got up and began walking to the kitchen, and that was the last thing I remember.
•LATER•
I awoke vomiting and laying in my bed at home. My head hurt, I smelled terrible, and I needed a glass of water.
But I didn't want to get up, so there was nothing I could do about it.
'How did I get here?'
It was then that Michael walked in and sat at the end of my bed.
"Hey, buddy." he said.
"How... what... happened?" I asked, coughing.
"You passed out and I brought you home. Everyone was really worried. You were asleep for about half an hour, but I knew you would wake up so I stayed here with you."
"Oh." I tried to say. My throat hurt even more than it did this morning, and it was dry.
"Now, c'mon. Let's get you cleaned up."
Michael pulled down the covers, which were now soaked in vomit. He helped me over to the couch and took off my quilt and bed sheets. He put them into a laundry basket and set it aside.
Then, he came over to me and pulled my shirt off. It was caked in vomit, so he put it with the sheets.
He helped me to the bathroom and I took a nice, long shower.
Once I was done, I saw that he had brought boxers, a shirt, and shorts into the bathroom for me.
I got dressed and met Michael in my bedroom.
"I put your bedding in the washer." he said.
I sat on my empty bed, hoping I wouldn't vomit again.
"Do you want anything, pal?" Michael asked.
"Water." I replied, letting my eyes close and my head lean back on my un-cased pillow.
I heard him leave, then come back a minute later.
"Here ya go." he said.
My eyes snapped open and I grabbed the glass. I drank the whole thing, then set the cup on my side table.
"Thanks, boi." I said, then fell asleep.
