I took a deep breath and began talking, "Geoff is in love with Ray, but he doesn't want to break up with Griffon, for Millie, so he and Ray have a secret relationship and Geoff's gonna tell Griffon when he's ready but Lindsay stole my phone and read my texts to Geoff and she's going to tell Griffon right now but she can't because that would ruin their marriage and Geoff doesn't know if the whole thing with Ray will last so he just doesn't want to ruin his relationship with Griffon for nothing and oh yeah Ray and Geoff fucked, but don't tell anyone." Even I was amazed I could squeeze that all out in one breath.

"Holy shit, Gavin, why didn't you tell me?" Michael asked, looking back and forth between me and the road.

"Because Geoff told me to keep it a secret until he knows for sure that he does or doesn't want to be with Ray." I replied.

Michael pulled into Geoff's driveway, and there was no sign of Lindsay. Yet.

I ran out of Michael's car and up to Geoff's door, pounding on it with my fist. Geoff answered the door.

"Hey, Gav what's-" I pushed past him and into the kitchen where I spotted Griffon, making cookies with Millie.

Michael walked up behind me and rested on the counter, "Lindsay's coming up the driveway."

I looked over my shoulder and saw Lindsay's car in the driveway, "Everything Lindsay's about to tell you is a lie!" I blurted, the real lier.

Just then, Lindsay burst through the door as well. I heard Geoff ask, "What the hell is going on?" before Lindsay stormed into the kitchen.

"Geoff's with Ray." she said, looking Griffon in the eyes.

"That's not true." I quickly said.

"It can't be." Griffon added, but she didn't sound sure.

"Look, I have proof." Lindsay said, pulling out my old phone. I thought that I was in trouble, but I realised that I disabled that phone at the Apple store the other day. It wouldn't turn on. It couldn't.

Lindsay tried to turn it on, but it wouldn't.

"I had that phone disabled when I got my new one." I said. Lindsay shot me a look of disgust, then looked back at Griffon.

"I will prove it to you. I'll find something." she said, storming off. She quickly stopped and looked at Geoff

"You're screwed."

And she left. Griffon looked sure now, sure that Geoff wasn't with Ray. Michael leaned on the counter nonchalantly, as if he was simultaneously pretending nothing happened and holding back the urge to punch Lindsay. Geoff looked confused as hell, and Millie perfectly mimicked his look, no doubt just as confused.

And I, well, I hoped my face didn't give away my hidden victory.
