Michael asked me if I wanted to join him for lunch.
Geoff hadn't talked all day other than in videos, Ray seemed worried but wouldn't admit it, and Jack, well, Jack was all over. Scared, worried, upset, sorry.
I decided I didn't want to face the rest of the guys for lunch, so I agreed and we got in his car.
"Where are we going for lunch?" I asked.
"Nothin' special, probably just some fast food." he said, with a sad tone.
"Taco Bell?" I requested, hopefully.
"Sure."
Once we had got there, ordered, got our food, and sat down I realised what I needed to do.
"Look, Micoo. If Ray and Jack and all them really are our friends, they will respect us."
Michael sighed and looked down at his food.
"Yeah, I guess your right." he replied.
"Is something wrong, Micoo?" I asked.
"It's nothing." he said.
"Micoo. I know when something's wrong. Tell me know. What is it?"
He sighed again.
"It's Lindsay. She's staying with her friend for a while because she read Jack's stupid tweet. Now she thinks there's something going on between us." he replied.
My jaw dropped, and Michael looked up.
I could see pain, anguish, and sadness in his eyes. My poor, sad, little boi.
"I love you Michael." I said.
He gave me a small smile, and I winked back.
•LATER•
The rest of the day seemed to whiz by, barely stopping to enjoy small moments.
By the end of the night it was freezing, which was a shocker for Austin, Texas, and all I had was my bike.
I climbed on just and Michael walked out of the building.
"Hey, Gav." he said, sounding slightly more chipper than earlier.
"Ay." I replied.
"Bit cold, do you want a ride?" He proceeded to ask.
I looked down at my bike, then back up to Michael.
"Sure." I replied, after a second.
I chained my bike to the bike rack and walked with Michael to his car.
We climbed in and Michael fired it up.
"Hey, Gav?" he said, after a moment of awkward silence.
"Ye?" I replied.
"I love you, too."
And we left.
