I grunt and attempt to stand up, only to fall back down and end up laying across Michael's lap. I sit up and lean against the couch again.

"Calm down, Gav. You've got nowhere to be," Michael says.

I relax and stretch my legs out on the floor. Geoff grumbles behind me and rolls over, dropping the now warm ice pack on the floor. I see now that he's got a bandage wrapped around his head, and he's almost conscious. Meanwhile, Griffon walks into the kitchen and opens the fridge. Just when I'm about to ask for a beer, I hear thumping in the hall and, sure enough, Millie comes into the living room a second later.

"G-Gavin?" She stutters worriedly, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she walks around the corner into the living room.

"Oh, uh, hey Millie, well-"

"Gav... Michael what's - Daddy?" Millie squeals, running to the couch and dropping her teddy bear on the floor.

"H-Hey, Mills, it's okay... I'm fine, sweetie." Geoff mumbles, patting her on the head.

Griffon walks into the living room and sets four beers on the coffee table, "It's okay, honey, go back to bed."

"But... Daddy and-"

"We're all okay, Millie, Geoff included. You should go back to sleep." Michael says, his natural fatherly instinct taking over.

"Okay," Millie says, tiredly walking back to her room.

Once she's gone, Griffon cracks open the bevs and hands one to Michael and I. After a while, Geoff rolls over and slouches against the arm of the couch, half-sitting up to drink his beer.

Michael grunts and shuffles around on the floor, leaning toward me and setting his beer on the coffee table.

"Well, Gavin, I was gonna try to do this at a more ideal time, but this thing's hurting my ass," Michael pulls out a velvety, black box from his back pocket.

He opens it and clears his throat, "Gavin, uh, we've been together for a while, and I think that, y'know... Will you marry me?"

I squeal and swoon into his arms, hugging him as tight as I can. He smiles the most adorable smile I've ever seen and laughs a little.

"Yes, Micoo!" I practically yell.

Michael drops the box into his lap and hugs me back. I look over and see Griffon covering her mouth with her and and crying. Looking the other way, Geoff's smiling ear to ear.

I pull out of the hug and Michael puts the ring on my finger, "I love you, Gavin."

"I love you too, Micoo."
