We were in the car in a matter of seconds.
Once we reached the house, I ran out of the car and bolted inside.
I saw Griffon sitting on the couch and Geoff pacing, both looking worried.
Michael came in a moment later and ran into the living room.
"She's not inside or outside, and she's not anywhere near the house." Geoff said. I couldn't tell if he was talking to me or himself.
"What's the only other place she could be?" Michael asked.
I looked at Michael, then turned to Geoff.
"The office." I said.
Geoff bolted out the door as soon as the words left my mouth. He got in the car and Griffon hopped in with him.
Michael got in his car, and I got in with him.
We drove to the office, practically speeding.
But there was no sign of Millie, and the building was locked, so she couldn't get in.
Then, Geoff got a phone call.
"I have her, Geoff." It was Ray.
"Ray! You found Millie?" Geoff asked, now seeming less worried.
"Yeah. I was walking home from the office and she was waiting near the bar next to your house."
Michael and I looked at each other.
"Why would she be there?" Geoff asked.
"I don't know, and she doesn't either, apparently."
"Is she at your apartment?" Geoff asked.
"Yeah." Ray said.
"We're coming to get her." Geoff said, then hung up.
