"What's the Winter Dance?" I asked Brooke confused as we walked to the drink stand.

It was Friday morning, after what happened on Sunday I've been ignoring all the guys. I've only talked to Brooke. Nathan has been ditching history, well I'm guessing he has since I haven't seen him in class this week. Ben tried talking to me but I just ignored him. I haven't been to the diner all week, just been ordering pizza since I can't stand to see them all again.

"Oh it's this big Christmas dance the school do near the end of the semester. It's in a few weeks," Brooke answered before ordering her coffee and my hot chocolate.

I nodded my head, "do you go to it?" I asked.

She shook her head, "oh no. Not my thing, so we just do a big party at the frat house. Speaking of parties, you coming tonight?"

I got my drink and took a sip before answering, "nope. I'm good."

"Alright, I'm not going to keep asking you since you always get upset one way or another when you go to a frat party, but the offer is always there for you. Do you want to know about him?" Brooke asked softly.

I tensed up, "I..." I stuttered. Did I want to know about Nathan?

"He's hooking up with random girls, more than before. Jay told me he's not talking to anyone, don't worry only Jay told me. No one else knows." Brooke said.

I took a shaky breath before throwing my drink away not feeling like drinking it, "Jay also said he's moved out. Well apparently he got kicked out of where he use to live, I didn't know he lived with his mum, but now he lives somewhere else." Brooke carried on.

He got kicked out? What the hell could he have done to do that?

"I don't care," I mumbled playing with my fingers.

Brooke raised an eyebrow before pulling her cost on tighter, "look I was talking to Jay and he told me that you told him that you like Nathan," Brooke said slowly.

I stopped walking and shivered when the winter air whipped my face, "yeah... I... I didn't know what I was saying I had a really bad day ok," I mumbled.

Brooke sighed, "its ok to like him you know? But I know I always say this, just don't get hurt, be careful."

I didn't say anything and Brooke sighed, "morning ladies," we heard Austin say coming up behind me.

I instantly tensed up again and Brooke frowned, "what do you want Austin?" Brooke snapped.

"Lovely to see you too Brooke, but go away. I just need a quick chat with the lovely Lexi," Austin smirked.

I looked at Brooke and nodded my head. She frowned before walking away.

"Heard about your little fight with Nathan, I don't know the details but what I do know is every time you aren't with him you can't do what I say." Austin said glaring at me.

I gulped, "I'm sorry... I..." I stumbled.

He chuckled, "relax, just do what I say and nothing happens. Unless you want me to tell Nathan about our summer together? I wonder how Jess is, maybe I should pay her a visit." Austin taunted before giving me a wink then walking away.

I bit my lip nervously before turning around and seeing Tom. He gave me a confused look before walking up to me, "what did he want?" Tom asked.

"Oh nothing." I lied.

Tom frowned, "you are a shit liar. Now tell me or I'll go tell Nathan," Tom demanded.

I panicked, "no not Nathan! Tom please," I pleaded.

"Why can't I tell Nathan?" Tom asked raising an eyebrow.

"Because its to do with him! Please!" I whispered.

Tom frowned even more, "Lexi... I can't help you if you don't tell me what's going on." Tom said, softer this time.

I looked down at my converse on the frosty pavement before looking back up at Tom, "I really can't say anything. If I could I would tell you, but I can't." I said quietly.

"Why can't you?" Tom questioned. Why can't he just leave it alone?

"Because I'm scared of him," I admitted.

"Of who? Austin?" Tom asked confused.

I shook my head and looked over at where he stood by the drinks stand. His arms were crossed over his chest, he was chewing on his lip ring. He wore a black beanie with a black leather jacket and a black t-shirt. He wore dark jeans that hung off his hips loosely finished with boots. He just looked at me. I looked back up at Tom.

"I'm scared of Nathan, I'm scared of what Nathan would do to him," I answered.

Tom frowned but nodded his head, "ok. You can talk to me whenever alright?" Tom said.

I just looked at the floor, "see you around Tom," I mumbled before walking away.

I ran a hand through my hair before looking up and seeing Nathan walking towards me. Not today. Please just not today.

"Lexi." Nathan muttered as he walked beside me.

I quickened my walk keeping my head down, "come on babe stop ignoring me. Haven't you missed me?" Nathan teased.

I rolled my eyes and started walking even quicker and turned a different way. Nathan easily kept up with me, "are you seriously going to run from me?" Nathan asked laughing.

I groaned before I actually did take off into a run. I kept my bag onto my shoulder before sliding slightly on some frost but lucky stayed up right. I heard Nathan shouting at me but I carried on running pass the confused students until I got out of the campus. I stopped running and placed my hands on my knees and panted.

"Lexi!" Nathan shouted as he ran up beside me before he stopped. He was breathing deeply and sat down on the cold floor.

I frowned confused as he carried on breathing deeply before rolling my eyes, "not falling for that again Nathan. Just leave me alone." I said angrily and started walked away.

"Lexi! I... I have... I have asthma," Nathan yelled.

I rolled my eyes, "stop lying! I'm not falling for that again Nathan!" I shouted.

I turned around when he didn't answer and he was still breathing deeply and quickly. I slowly walked up to him and knelt beside him, "Nath it's not funny. Stop it." I said frowning.

"Asthma," he gasped.

I looked at him before panicking, "oh fuck. Where's your inhaler?" I asked and threw my bag onto the ground.

"Back... Back pocket," he said quickly and carried on breathing deeply.

I nodded my head and he turned to the side slightly so I got his inhaler. I handed it to him, "ok you need to do it," I said concerned.

He took two deep puffs before pulling his inhaler away. He sat up and looked at me.

"Are you alright? I had to touch your ass, I never want to do that again," I said.

He glared at me, "it's your fault!" he snapped.

I glared back, "well I'm sorry but Nathan this is the second time I ran from you, yes ran!" I snapped standing up.

Nathan stood up as well and put his inhaler away, "because you are so stupid! You never listen to me!" he yelled.

"All you do is insult me! You don't listen to me either Nathan!" I shouted annoyed.

He scoffed, "bet you had fun fucking Jay on Saturday." He said changing the subject.

I frowned, "where did that come from? I have never had sex with Jay nor will I!"

"How will I know that?" he demanded.

"Because I like you! You are such an idiot!" I snapped before covering my mouth with my hand.

Nathan suddenly had a smirk on his face, "you like me? Well that's good news," he teased and slowly walked forwards.

I blushed, "as a friend," I said quickly.

"I never said any different," Nathan winked when he was face-to-face with me.

I looked down and he took my hands, "are you still annoyed with me?" Nathan asked quietly.

I didn't say anything, "why did Austin talk to you today?" Nathan asked.

I looked up. "Just him being Austin," I said smiling through my lie.

"Right." Nathan said sarcastically.

I took my hands out of his and pushed him back slightly before walking around him and getting my bag. I swung it over my shoulder and started walking back to campus. I checked my phone and saw that it was, 9:32am. No point in going to history but when literature starts I could go to that class.

"What is it with you and walking or running away from me?" Nathan asked, now annoyed.

I rolled my eyes and pulled my jacket around me tightly as a chill came, "maybe I just get bored of seeing your face." I said giving a sweet smile.

Nathan scoffed, "oh come on. I'm bloody gorgeous," he smirked.

I laughed at him, "huh, right," I smirked.

He frowned, "all the girls love me. They all want to see how good I am in bed and if I do say so myself I am amazing, you should give me a try one time."

I blushed once again, "you are disgusting," I said annoyed.

"Oh babe you know you want to. Stop being difficult." Nathan grinned and took my arm stopping me in my walk.

I looked at him before looking down at where his hand was then back up at him, "let go of me." I said calmly.

He still had the same grin on his face as he pulled me closer to him, "babe you know you like it," he said quietly.

I laughed lightly, "Nathan, love, let go of me now."

He shook his head and chewed on his lip ring, "come back to my place." He asked.

"Where do you live anyway? Brooke said you got kicked out." I said confused.

He loosened his grip on my arm, "I'm staying with the frat lot at the moment." He murmured.

"The big house where the parties are? Why did you get kicked out?" I asked.

He tensed before nodding his head then shrugging, "I broke a few plates and some stupid paintings," he muttered.

I sighed, "why Nathan?" I asked softly.

He glared at me, "I don't have to answer to you!" he snapped angrily.

I looked at him in annoyance before shrugging off his grip and walking away from him.

"Where are you going now?" Nathan shouted.

"Anywhere! Just as long as I'm away from you!" I yelled back folding my arms over my chest.
