     "Link?" Jaden's sweet voice resounded in my ear and I turned toward the door where her head poked in and waved her in. She smiled and kissed my cheek. "Are we still on for tonight?" She smiled and sat on my lap. I wrapped my arms around her waist and she wrapped hers around my neck. I spun a little and she laughed. I kissed her playfully on the lips and she laid her head on my shoulder. 

     "I really love you, Link." She said and looked at her ring on her finger. I smiled and took her hand and looked at it to. The door opened and rhett walked in. "Oh. Hey guys." He said and Jaden jumped off of me. She looked at me and bent over and whispered in my ear "Should we tell him?" And he looked at us. "Tell me what?" I looked at her and she gave me the ooops-I-didn't-mean-to-accidentally-let-your-bestfriend-know-we-are-keeping-something-from-him look.

     I laughed and said "we are, uhh." I paused and grabbed Jaden's hand "getting married." She smiled and added "and having a kid." Rhett's eyes grew large and I looked at her. "Having a kid for sure?" I asked. She just nodded and I jumped up. I hugged her and spun her around in my arms and kissed her passionately. Rhett coughed and we stopped and I said "sorry." He smiled and said "that's alright. Congratulations guys." A smile grew on his face and he hugged us. "Thanks, man." I said as he let go of us. 

***Mythical time jump*** 

     I strolled over to Jaden's house at 5:57 and waited outside the door till 6. At exactly 6 I knocked on the door three times and she opened it and smiled. We had decided since we were getting married and having a kid that we should move in together, so I was helping her pack. She smiled and kissed me and grabbed my hand and pulled me inside. 

     We were looking through stuff in her room when I found a picture album. She was going through her closet and I made sure she wasn't watching me so I opened the book. There were pictures of her brothers and their wives at their wedding. Her mom and dad at their wedding and Jaden at a wedding. I assumed the man across from her was Jack and anger began to swell up inside me. Why did she still have this? 

     She turned toward me and saw I was looking at the book. She smiled and grabbed her glass of sparkling grape juice and came over to me. I flipped the page and she pulled me up and we sat on the bed. We started going through the book and I realized that it was backwards. "Why did you start here and go backwards?" She smiled. "I was wondering if you would notice." She smiled, "it's so that when people open the book they see me now and not who I used to be." 

     I smiled and grabbed the picture of us off her bedside table and took it out of the frame. I flipped back to the beginning of the book and put the picture into the book. She grabbed my arm and pulled me closer. "When did you have this made?" I asked her about the picture of us. "Before we went to Michigan. When we stopped talking for that week, I cried myself to sleep every night with that picture." She smiled and grabbed the bottle of juice from the floor. She went to pour it into her glass and then didn't she just started drinking from the bottle. 

     My phone buzzed and I picked it up. 

Christy ~ We need to talk.

     I looked over at Jaden who was glancing over my shoulder. We made eye contact and I was so scared she was going to get angry. She smiled and said "I think you should go and talk with her. Maybe you guys can work out your issues." I thought about it and said "but what if something happens?" She rubbed my arm and said "nothing will happen. You won't let anything happen." I nodded. "Ok." and messaged her back.
