My Mythical Best and My Mythical Worst

     I missed my period last week. Link is keeping something important from me. I feel like breaking down every second of every day and the only person who is there for me is Alex. Since we got back, Link has been super busy with work to make up for the time he missed, and I'm not saying I haven't been busy but Link and I haven't had a conversation about anything but work in three days. 

     I think I'm pregnant, but the pregnancy test last week didn't say I was. I was afraid to tell Link. What if he left me? I would be a wreck. Again. I didn't want that to happen so the only person I planned on telling was Alex. We went out to lunch as friends to the cafe down the street. "Can I ask you for some advice, Alex?" I asked him as we sat down and he adjusted his hair under his Michigan hat. 

     "Of course. Anything." He smiled sweetly and I continued. "I think I'm pregnant." I stopped and let him take in the information. "Well," He said "Is it Link's?". I couldn't tell if he was joking so I just looked at him with a blank expression. His expression went from surprise to horror. "Oh my god. You cheated on Link and got pregnant with some other dude's baby. You have to have sex with him and make him think it's his." He said sounding mildly panicked. I laughed a little. "No. It's Link's." He took a sigh of relief. 

     "What are you worried about then?" 

     "What if he breaks up with me because of a baby? Or worse?" 

     "What worse could happen? And besides, Link isn't that kind of guy. At least I don't think he is." 

     "Should I tell him?" 

     He nodded his head vigorously "Mhmmm. But first you should make sure you are actually pregnant before you freak him out with that." We laughed and finished our meal. 

***Link***

     Jaden is keeping things from me and I'm not ok with it. We are supposed to tell each other everything. Although, I have been keeping a secret too. We haven't spent much time together since we've been home because I feel bad for leaving Rhett for two weeks. I wanted to take her out to lunch but she said she already had plans for lunch with some of the crew members. 

     "Hey, Linkypoo." I heard a sweet sing song voice behind me and I turned around. 

     "How was lunch?" I smiled and kissed her softly. 

     "Actually, I wanted to talk to you." She said. My mind started racing as she dragged me behind her to mine and Rhett's office. "Sit." She pointed at my office chair and I smiled as she held my hand. 

     "This is where we sat when we were first official." I said and she smiled and added "and it's where I'm gonna tell you something very important. But I need you to promise you won't be upset." She said. I smiled and said "you couldn't tell me anything to make me upset." and she pulled Rhett's chair from his desk and sat down. "Link, I think I'm pregnant." My heart stopped. I was speechless. I didn't know what she wanted me to say. Was I upset? No far from. I guess you could say I was surprised. "We must've used a defective condom." She said as I could tell she began to cry and she stood up and went to walk away. 

     I reached up and grabbed her hand as she turned toward the door. I stood up and pulled her into my arms and she laid her head on my shoulder. "Jade?" I said. She sniffed and I began to feel my shirt getting wet. "Will you marry me?"
