I sat casually in the jail cell waiting for Jaden to come get me. I didn't understand why she would be willing to help me after I'd been such an ass hole but she'd hit me after all so maybe this was making up for it.

As I waited silently for Jaden to arrive, I thought about her meeting with Jack. What could go wrong anyway? They would meet in public and there would be other people there. Maybe I could even convince her to let me be there in the background.

My thoughts were drown out as a police officer came up to my cell door and opened it. He guided me to the front where I saw Jaden signing a paper. She looked up and saw me and her look changed from a pleasant smile to the person she handed the papers to, to a look of unpleasant disgust. I couldn't stand looking at her so I looked at the ground. The police officer took the handcuffs off and I walked toward Jaden hanging my head low.
"You better hope that none of your fans find out about this. Imagine how devastated they would be to find out that you were so irresponsible, considering that you're considered the more responsible of you two." She said shamefully toward me.

"I know. I'm sorry." I said without looking up, in fear of seeing the distasteful look on her face. She grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the police station and toward her car.

As we got in she said "we need to talk, and we're not going anywhere till we do." And closed her door.

"I know," I sighed, "I'm sorry, and if you want to meet and talk with Jack then you should be allowed to."

"That's not what I want to talk about. You and Christy. That's what we need to talk about. You kissed her?"

A tear ran down my cheek and I wiped it way and adjusted my glasses. "Yeah. I don't know why I did but it just happened so quick and it was a mistake. I know, because I love you, not her. I mean I do love her, but it's a different kind of love. I'm so sorry. I just-" I trailed off.

We sat in silence for a few moments until she said "it's alright. I'm sorry for hitting you, it won't happen again. I promise. Also," she paused, "I lied about meeting with Jack. He's not even in California as far as I know. I wouldn't want to meet with him in a million years because he did try to, well, you know." She stopped and I looked up at her. There were silent tears streaming down her face and she sniffled. I wiped away a tear and leaned over and kissed her lightly.

***Jaden***

As he leaned over to kiss me I felt the same way I did the first time right before we kissed. The butterflies and sickness in my stomach and my brain telling me to go for it. As our lips touched softly it was the same. The metaphorical fireworks were going off like the first time. He pulled away and leaned his forehead on mine.

"How about we forget that this night ever happened? We both made mistakes and we can live and let go, but not make the mistakes again. Okay?" He whispered.

"Yeah, I like that idea." Another tear went down my cheek and he wiped it away.

"I love you, ya know..." he said even quieter than his previous statement and his hand lingered on my cheek.

"I love you too." I sniffed and he kissed me again.
