"Luke Robert Hemmings, listen to me. This Ashton guy can't keep living on our couch. He has been here for a week and I'm done with this."

Both Luke and Michael were fuming, their faces bright red as they stared each other down with fiery eyes. This wasn't the first time it's happened this week. Michael was always angry to see Ashton sitting on his couch while eating some homemade meal. He looked like he did absolutely nothing the whole day but sit on the couch and relax. Michael was working extra hard since it was difficult for Luke to work at the bakery without straining himself. Seeing someone so relaxed and well rested made him pure envious.

Luke whispered harshly back at Michael. "He is a war veteran with nowhere to live. No one will give him a job because his only work experience was in the army. He is a war friend of Calum's so I trust him fully. He will stay here as long as he likes."

Michael groaned in frustration. "I've been working so hard and to see him sitting on the couch like a potato makes me jealous cause I work so hard for us to keep this apartment, for groceries and things for the girls."

Luke sighed. "Just calm down and go take a nap. I'll bring you some supper when you are calm." Closing the door behind him, Luke made his way towards the kitchen, sighing heavily when he stirred the tomato soup. He heard shuffling footsteps towards the kitchen and saw Ashton ,out of the corner of his eye, peek into the doorway.

"Luke?" The blonde hummed in response, not taking his eyes off the soup. Ashton's guilt only rose higher, feeling horrible for causing so many fights between the couple. "If I'm causing problems with you and Michael, I can leave. I assure you that I am perfectly fine out there." Luke looked up with surprised eyes and dropped the spoon onto the counter.

"No Ashton, it's fine. Michael just doesn't understand that you leave the apartment everyday at 8:30 to go look for jobs and come back at 5:00 still unemployed. Please, it's no trouble at all. I won't have a dear friend of Calum's out in the street." Ashton smiled sadly. He knew he was a burden on this family's back but Luke had such a kind soul which swayed Ashton's decision in leaving.

"Thank you, Luke." Ashton smiled, giving the pregnant boy a small squeeze.

2:34 a.m.

Luke's eyes were peeled wide open as he stared at the ceiling. His legs were aching and he needed to go to the bathroom a fourth time tonight. He read about this sort of thing online. It was called Pregnancy Insomnia.

Before Luke met Michael, he had no clue what that was or how hard of a toll it took on a person's body. Michael told him that he had insomnia as a kid. He couldn't ever get to sleep till about four in the morning because of all the thoughts swirling in his head or just because his body wouldn't let him sleep. His mother had him wear a small bracelet that tracked the amount of sleep he got. He eventually was able to overcome the insomnia, now wanting to sleep almost 24/7.

Luke now understood how hard insomnia was. For a couple days now, he had been having troubles falling asleep. The website said his legs would start to ache, he would need to use the bathroom a lot and he would maybe have headaches or migraines. Luke was relieved that no headaches occurred yet.

Luke slowly sat up, groaning when he felt his back crack a bit. He slipped his feet into his tan, fuzzy slippers and began his waddle to the bathroom. After a few minutes of struggling, he was able to make his way back toward the bed. He got under the covers but before he could lay back down, Michaels hand slipped onto his swollen belly which made him shriek. Michael chuckled tiredly, his thumb rubbing small circles on Luke's pale skin.

"You've been getting up a lot. What's bugging you?"
Luke sighed and turned his head so he could see Michaels emerald eyes. "My legs are cramping and I need to pee a lot." Luke saw a small smirk tug on his boyfriend's lips. "Maybe you should be wearing a diaper. We've got plenty in the nursery." Luke rolled his eyes. "Haha very funny. Seriously now, can you get up and get me some meds. I can't take it anymore

Michael nodded and yawned. "Sure thing, Princess."

"Shut the fuck up."

Ashton burst through the apartment, a large smile on his face. "Luke guess what?!"

The blonde boy looked up from his bowl of ramen, looking at Ashton unamused. He was having an off day and he was pregnant so he had a good excuse for not being enthusiastic about anything. "Hmm?"

Ashton squealed with excitement. "I got a job and a place to stay!" Luke nearly choked on his noodles. "W-what?!" Ashton giggled and plopped onto the couch right beside Luke.

"I'm working at the bakery now! Mr. and Mrs. VanBünz are so kind and they offered me a job at the bakery. They live in the apartment on top of the bakery and they said I can live there with them and my room can be their son's old room. I get to stay there free of charge as long as I work in the bakery without pay."

Luke smiled. Now Michael had his couch back and Ashton had a job and a safe place to stay. Plus, Luke can still see Ashton without having him live on the couch. "That's great news, Ashton! You are going to love living with Mr. and Mrs. VanBünz."

After Michael came home, Ashton told him the news. Michael began skipping around the house in happiness and once Ashton left with his things, he collapsed onto the couch. "Hello my sweet. We meet after such a long parting."

Luke rolled his eyes. "I'm dating a dork."

Michael winked up at Luke. "Right back at ya."

Dear Sweetie Pies,

We hung out with Ashton a lot this week. He was finally able to get a job and a place to stay. Don't worry, we will still be seeing him around a lot. Maybe if we all become closer, he can be your Uncle Ashton.
Everything has been on the down low. Maybe we should adopt a cat.

Love you two boogers,

Love Daddy.
