"It's been months now!" Zach exclaimed. "When do you plan to confess?" He was sitting on my office chair, leaned back and feet on top of my desk. We had a small break, well, just him as I was still working. It's not like he was skipping work.

"Just so you know I'm not confessing. It could ruin our friendship." I was on the ground, examining the concept and listing the items that were needed for the decorations. I would need some time to buy the items and has to be early. The prices might double if I do it when it's almost near Christmas.

Zach sighed, "How about the time when the two of you dance, and yes, I saw you two."

"That was two months ago, Zach. And it was a friendly dance." And it has been two months since I've seen Jonathan. And I was right that time, we just came back to our lives as if we were just two new people introducing. Or one of those school days that you just greet in the hallway then you both do your own business.

        Life really does just happen.

"And you met him since May." He deadpanned, "Come on, Jade. If you're not telling him. I'll do it."

That made me stop what I was doing, I quickly looked at him. "Don't you dare." I've been keeping my feelings for months, I'm not going to let him ruin it now.

He raised a brow and crossed his arms, "I swear I will."

"Zach, I'm not like you. This lady friend of yours that you met in Jonathan's wedding, Eveline, you're dating her now." He told me the news a few weeks later after coming back home.

There was a pregnant pause. He abruptly stood up, "I'm telling him now."

"No!" I scrambled, blocking the door. From the outside of the room, it would have seem that we were fighting and that caused some looks from the other people. We were fighting, to prevent Clark from knowing my feelings. They wouldn't hear it all clearly, it was muffled. "I'll tell him. Just give me a few months."

He crossed his arms again, giving all his weight on his right foot, "Jade—"

"Please!" I begged him, I was now on my knees and my hands were clasped together, "Just few months, Zach. Just few months." I was lying, I was not ready to tell him at all. I didn't have the guts.

He was silent, lips were pursed, "Alright."

I let out a relief, putting a hand over my forehead, "Oh my God." I rubbed my face.

He chuckled, "I wasn't really going to tell him you know. I just wanted to hear you beg."

I glared at him and stood up quickly, "You... fucking..." I pushed him out the door harshly. I couldn't even finish the insult that I threw at him.

"Jade, I was just joking!" He laughed, however, I was having none of it. I slammed the door right in front of his face and locked it. Making a deafening sound. Almost all of our co-workers were looking at us but all he did was laugh, "Jade!" He pounded at the glass. It was even better that our boss wasn't here at the moment.

I flicked my middle finger and went back to writing the important items that were needed. I heard his footsteps padding away, just give me a few minutes and I'll be fine. What he did was a horrible move, it utterly made me panic.

He always does that, pissing me then trying to make up for me by whatever he can do, or sometimes he would just leave me to calm down. I remembered that he use to put water on my sit, it was concealed by the black fabric. I got my revenge on him by changing his soda by a cup of extremely hot coffee.
