Eveline and I had become close. She had decided to surprise us one afternoon while we were in work, strolling down the hallway in her heels and first greeted Zach then us. She had told us that she left her job and took another one that was closer to Zach so they wouldn't have a hard time. The good thing was that her schedule wasn't that tight and wouldn't work up until midnight.
Her boyfriend was ecstatic with the news, giving her an embrace and had asked her if she would like to live with him if she didn't take an apartment yet and she happily complied.
I was also delighted that I have a lady friend, not just Zach who has been with me since I started working in Daily Planet. The men, Clark and Zach has been out doing their night out. And Eveline and I stayed in Clark and I's apartment. Just like those old times when you and your friend stay in each other's house having a sleepover.
"Come on, L.J!" She had started calling me that months after I have met her. She smacked me with a pillow on my head.
"What now?" I fixed my hair and took a handful of chips, some small pieces falling on the ground.
"I want to know how you and Clark started."
I grunted, "You're just like his mother."
She smacked me again, harder. I laughed, "I'm sorry!"
She clicked her tongue and sat on the floor beside me, "You're making me curious, all you say was that it's complicated a lot of times. And if I ask Zach, he just told me to ask you."
I chuckled, "It is complicated. Which part do you want to know?"
"How you guys started having sex," she blankly said.
I choked on the food. She continued, "Of course, how you guys started going out, you dipshit." There was also one thing I liked about her, she also talks inappropriately. She may appear sweet and innocent but you'd never know she would talk like that.
"Fine, fine," I said after I finally composed myself, "I loved Clark ever since I met him, and I never knew he had also taken a liking to me on the second day we met each other."
"You already told that, go to the part where you couldn't say it."
"Calm down, woman."
She nodded, waiting for me to continue. I stated, "One day we went out together to know each other, he told me that time he likes a woman named Lois who was also working at the Daily Planet."
"Really? I hate her."
"You knew her?"
"Whenever I visit you guys, I always see that red hair glaring. I remember asking where the restroom was because I couldn't find it and she just 'Are you blind? It's over there.' And I'm like, I'm just asking!" She gripped the pillow tighter and shook it in nuisance, then she threw the pillow on the ground. "I only found out that her name's Lois when someone called her."
I chuckled, "She's probably still bitter that Clark and I are still together and lasts longer than he was with her."
"Well, good thing Clark broke up with her. Who wants to have a woman with that kind of personality? Anyways, continue on."
"Clark was with her for almost three months, I guess. Of course, I was hurt. There was one time I walked in the two of them kissing."
She grunted and took the pillow again, putting her face to it. "I really hate her now. I couldn't imagine Clark with her."
