I watched Philip ran out of the restaurant and to the playground that was right in front of it, joining a boy who was in the sandbox.

I looked at Zach and pointed at the kid, "Is he always that hyper?"

"Yeah," he shook his head and glanced at Eveline who was cradling a three months old baby. "Instead of Seth waking us up by his cries, Philip was the one who'll wake us. Jumping on the bed, asking for ice cream in the middle of the night."

        "Kids," Eveline said.

"I remember Zach doesn't like kids."

She laughed softly, carefully not waking up their baby, "I know. He told me that until I convinced him to it." She looked at him, "How was it?"

Zach's mouth twitched, "It's alright, I guess. But it makes me feel old. How's Martha?" They have already met her. Clark and I introduced them when we decided to let Martha live with us, she was getting older and in need of assistance.

"She's alright and doing well, Clark's with her right now."

He nodded, "I miss her cooking."

"Me too," Eveline said, "Especially Philip, he kept on bothering us when we will visit you guys."

I chuckled, "Her cooking always amaze me, I even asked her if she could teach me."

"Are you still working at the Daily Planet?"

"No. Clark decided that I should stay home as he works so I could take care of Martha. Couldn't leave her alone. She constantly gets back pains and things like that."

"Don't you miss it? Even I miss being a nurse. Back then I was yearning for a break, now I just want to go back."

"Of course, I do. I've been there for so long. I miss the times when I was cramming and I was bombarded with projects," I laughed.

"It gets boring," Zach stated, "Clark sometimes doesn't have the humor you have. I miss having you there."

"I'm telling Clark that he makes you bored."

        "No!"

We heard the main door of the restaurant open, we looked at it and saw Clark, smiling at us. Zach sat upright and stretched, standing up, "Clark's finally here, we're leaving now, we still have a lot to do and Eveline has to clean the house."

I nodded, "Alright. Be careful on your way."

"We will." Zach took Eveline's bag and she stood up slowly, adjusting Seth on her arms.

They both have greeted Clark on the way, and Clark sat beside me.

"Hey," he pecked me on the lips.

"Hi. How's work for the past few weeks?"

"Boring, especially when you're not there. All I had was Zach." He took a piece of the remaining garlic bread on the table and ate it.

I chuckled, "You forced me to stay at home."

"I'll complain as long as I want, Jade. But that doesn't mean you can go back to work. You're staying at home," he smirked.

I glanced outside of the panel, staring at my two best friends at the playground, Zach was crouching down, his arms reaching out and calling out for Philip. The kid stood up from the sandbox and waved goodbye to his playmates even to the others who he hasn't play with and ran to Zach. He picked him up and they started walking away.
