I've been staying in his apartment for almost two weeks, I was starting to walk normally and my injury now show a faint scar, the accident that happened between Clark and I were now behind us. After entering his home, he put me down and hugged me tightly. Not a normal embrace that he usually gives. There was this message as if he was clinging into me, and I hugged him back in sorry. I remember that time, none of us spoke. If I did, he'll just hush me and tighten his grip, then we went to bed quietly.

My gift to him was done, I would have done it within a month if I'm just not lazy. Now Superman's gift was almost done since I hold my time, working on it four hours a day. If all of it were done, all I need to do was color it that depends on their personality.

I remember him saying that he has to go somewhere, but never said to where. I didn't ask, and it wasn't my business. It wasn't bad to ask but it seemed like I was prying. With the way he dressed earlier, he was well groomed and all I thought was that he would have a date with Lois later after work.

After all, he has been with her for three months now. But I recall his face as if he didn't want to go. I didn't even know who asked who to go on a date. One moment, he was relaxed, then he will get tense and glance at me.

Most of his time, he spends it standing in front of his mirror, fixing his tie all over again even when it was neat and fixed. For a second, I thought he has forgotten how to knot it from nervousness, making me do it for him and comforting him that everything will go well as he stared down on me with a mysterious look.

Even if I didn't really know what the occasion was all about. I kept helping him.

I was having a nap that afternoon when I suddenly woke up at the tremendous sound that was happening in the kitchen. I sat up in concern. Then there was another crash and the sound of glass breaking. I ran up to the kitchen and found out that there was clutter everywhere. To my disbelief, the table was split in half and was thrown across the other side of the wall, so was the chairs, then there were lots of broken mugs and plates on the ground.

I gaped as I saw Clark in anger, my senses came back when he threw another glass across of him. "Clark!" I ran up to him to stop what he was doing, my eyebrows were furrowed together, and I was trying to grasp his arms.

He ignored me and he swiped all the things that were on the counter, I gasped, "Clark! Stop it!" I was trying my best to pull his hands. Everything was a mess.

I tried once again, "Listen to me!" It happened so fast that all I know was I'm on the ground yelping and hissing in pain as the shards were piercing against my skin. He has pushed me away from him. I looked at him unsettled, he slumped against the wall with his head down and hands behind his head. For all I've known him, I've never seen him so defeated.

I crawled towards him, not caring that the shards were hurting me and now bleeding, I stopped between his legs and lift his head, my concerned eyes contacting with his pained ones that was a bit glossy.

I caress his cheeks, I whispered, "What happened."

He quietly said, "We had a huge fight, then I broke up with her." He spoke again after a short pause, "I'm still confuse with what I'm feeling."

I frowned at his answer, I didn't like the fact that Lois has brought him such pain, and until now, after months of waiting. He was still puzzled. I didn't know what to say, I was never good with comforting people.

He softly grabbed my hands that was covered in shards and some of my blood, caressing and staring at it, "I'm sorry, Jade." I could hear the pain in his voice, it was heartbreaking.
