Announcement

        Zach was blissful hearing the news about us. He was also happy that I am now joyful, unlike the days that I was during the last months. I actually thought I would never be with him. Now he's by my side for another months and still counting.

        We both have calmed down with the problem about Ethan and Lois. We left our work and sleep in peace knowing that we've trust each other. Martha has enjoyed my company and kept on texting me than what my parents did. It was true what Clark said. Martha has loved me. She even told me that she also enjoyed my time than with Lois as we talked on the phone weeks ago.

        I have decided to live with Clark when he asked me weeks later after we went back to Metropolis. I happily complied and said yes.

        Ethan has stopped nagging me after hearing the news about our announcement, I knew it bothered him as his lips turned into a thin line. And Steven, we became closer as well as him and Clark. Then Zach and Steven became buddies. Clark has trusted him more than Ethan even if Clark doesn't get bothered by him anymore.

        For Lois, all I knew was that she was furious but never showed it. She would glare at me here and there, however, she had never touched me ever since our last encounter in the storage room. She never once went to Clark to talk casually unless it was work related. She also never went to me unless it was also work related, it was evident that she wasn't happy. With her clenched jaw, sour expression, and forced smiles, I thought there would be a time that she would hit me.

        "Jade!" Zach came into my office, letting his head inside at the small opened door. "I want you to meet Eveline." It has also been a year since Eveline and Zach became together.

        "What? Right now?"

        "No, not right now. She's not here."

        "You want me to meet her but she's not here?" I took a sip of my tea that Clark gave me.

        "I was planning it."

        "But why now? It's like almost a year now."

        Zach came in and sat on the chair that was near my table as I noticed he was having a hard time just leaning on the door with his head inside. "She has a tight schedule, and we don't meet that much because of her job."

        "Is she a nurse or something?"

        "Yes. And she took a leave for a week so I have more time to be with her and I decided to have a double date."

        "Double date?" My eyes widened, "Alright. That's fine with me."

        "Great! Just tell Clark about it and the date will be tomorrow evening. We'll be having dinner at a restaurant."

        "Zach! We talked about this. You don't just plan something so suddenly when you know I also have a tight schedule."

        He stood up and started walking out of my office, "I know you would give some time for me."

        I chuckled, "Fine. But don't do it again."

        It was too early, it's not that I didn't have something to wear, however, I would have been prepared for the upcoming meeting. I went home alone as Clark went away to save someone when it was near the end of our work. I took his bag already so he didn't have to worry coming back to the Daily Planet.

        It was already a routine whenever he leaves when it was almost our shift ends.

        Zach has been talking about Eveline lately when we were together. I must say he must've love her that much as I've never seen him like that with his previous relationships.
