The place that we had come was huge and a lot of people, women with their formal dresses and men with their suits. Laughs and chatters everywhere you go, holding a wine glass and a small proportion of food.

The ceremony was done, we were almost late but we had managed it, we sat at the back because I didn't feel welcome with strangers. I haven't seen Jonathan up close, and I was looking for him now.

I gripped the box of the wines I was holding. The gift that I was supposed to give to my old college friend that I haven't even seen for seven years and never heard after graduating. I felt myself gripping the box tighter, my breathing had become faster. There were too many people that I didn't know and some were staring at us, I was not familiar with their presence. It felt like it was my first day of working in Daily Planet all over again.

        "Guys," I said.

"Hmm?" Clark answered, eyes shifting to every person we have passed, as same as Zach.

"I think this is a bad idea."

"No, it isn't," Zach glanced at me, seeing the expression that was planted on my face, "you're not used to many people."

"I was a bit loner back in school, Zach. Of course, I'm not used to this." I was still looking for Jonathan. The stares that some was giving us was a bit unnerving.

Clark grinned, "You're lucky we're here then."

I took a deep breath and nodded rapidly, "Yeah. Very. Very lucky."

Clark put his hand on my shoulder, squeezing it gently, "Jade, it's alright. Calm down, we'll be here," he quietly said.

I put my hand on top of his, gripping it tightly and nodded once again. I kept biting my lip, it really felt like a bad idea coming to this place and can't even see your old pal.

"Why are there a lot of people?" Zach asked, "Is your friend kind of celebrity or something?"

Clark added, "It's like a small party for private people." Then he gazed to a couple that passed us, eyes focused on the dresses and suits that looked like they were bought somewhere expensive.

"Jonathan is a people person," I said, "and a bit rich." He always love meeting new people, he even have a lot of family friends than cousins and treat strangers as if they have met before. "You guys know that I'll just stand silently somewhere in the buffet area if I went alone right?"

Zach sneered, "For all I know you won't even come to the reception."

"L.J!" Someone had screamed my old nickname, and I only knew someone who always call me that. I turned around to see him but I was suddenly enveloped by a big hug, Jonathan was laughing, "I miss you!"

My smile widened and returned the hug, it was nice. He was holding me firmly like I've been dead and suddenly came back alive, for a moment, my nervousness has subsided. I laughed and stumbled back a bit at the abrupt movement, "I miss you too, Jo!"

He whispered to my ear, "So, any of this friend of yours your boyfriend or husband?"

I blushed and laughed very loud, "No! None of those." Then I whispered back, "But I have my eye on the blue-eyed guy."

He laughed back and lifted me for a second before letting me go. It was quite a welcome. When we let go, we checked each other out. Jonathan's eyebrows quirked, "You look wonderful! You even grew taller."
