Simon's POV

'Well, I guess that's all for today guys. Sorry for the lack of main channel videos, had some stuff going on that I'll probably tell you about at some point, in the near future? I don't know. Most likely I'll just forget. But don't YOU forget to like, subscribe and check out my other channel in the description. Seeya!'

Simon signed off his video with his usual peace sign/salute, and stopped the camera recording. He sighed, remembering the events of the day. After the raucous he and JJ caused at the hospital, Vik had gone after Sophie, leaving the rest of them standing around outside the hospital. So, they decided to just go out for food before heading back home to finish recording videos for the day, choosing Nandos of course. And although none of the other guys noticed, just as they were leaving, Simon was sure he spotted Sophie and Vik walk in. In fact, he was sure Sophie pretty much running towards the restaurant like she'd just seen a long lost friend.

Simon wasn't sure how he felt about her yet. Their meeting was slightly unorthodox and since then, they'd only conversed when she refused to change the radio station on the way to the hospital and when she'd yelled at him and JJ for fighting, the reason for which he'd had to lie about. He couldn't very well tell her that it was over her, could he?

Luckily, JJ and everyone else had gone along with it, seeming to understand his reasoning without him needing to explain why. He did however know how Vik felt about her; it was obvious. They had already spent a good deal of time together, Sophie somehow sweet talking the doctor to get them to let Vik go with her to see Alan. They'd been inside for a good hour and a half before they came out. Still, he's in way over his head.., Simon thought, silently hoping Vik wouldn't get hurt if it turned out Sophie didn't feel the same way. He would have to talk to him about it when he got back.

Then, by some strange coincidence, he heard the front door open, and Josh's loud voice floated up the stairs. That must be Vik back.. he thought. He got out of his chair, quickly changing his shirt before starting towards the stairs. He wondered what had taken him so long that meant he had only just gotten home just now. He took his time getting to the ground floor, dropping from one step to the other, exhaustion washing over him. That's the trouble with being a YouTuber; if you wanted to upload a decent amount of consistent, quality content, you had to compromise somewhere. Unfortunately for him, with all the series he had running, plus the vlogs and challenge videos he did with the other Sidemen, he was finding the compromise meant less sleep, moreover a lack of.

He rubbed his eyes as he approached Vik's door before knocking. When there was no response, he pushed it open to find the room empty. He frowned, momentarily confused. Thinking for a few seconds, he decided that the only other places he could be were the kitchen or the living room. He turned and headed towards the last flight of stairs. As he rounded the corner however, he stopped. Stood at the bottom of the stairs was Vik, with Sophie. They were talking quietly, almost whispering. He thought about retreating back to his room, feeling like he was interrupting something. He must have made a noise of some sort, as they both looked up and spotted him on the stairs.

A sheepish look flooded his features as he locked eyes with Sophie, her previous words rushing to the forefront of his mind. Remorse filled him and he switched his gaze to Vik, who gave him a meaningful look. He sighed internally, understanding the request hidden behind his subtle expression. He finished his decent of the stairs, coming to a standstill in front of Sophie. Vik mentioned something about going off to stream, adding a joke about keeping an eye on Simon to Sophie, which earned him a smirk. A twinge in Simon's stomach made him frown slightly. It was an unfamiliar feeling, unlike that of unease or nervousness. Jealousy.. A voice in the back of his mind whispered. He pushed it away as he watched Vik climb the stairs and turn towards his room.
